The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The receptionist who checked us out was okay, but the one at check-in was terrible. She didn't seem to know the area at all when we asked for directions, and she didn't even know that the subway was closed for the National Day holiday—unbelievable. Anyway, the place is old and not clean either.

Very close to the Bund, but the room size is really small. We booked an executive twin room, and one of the 'beds' was actually a sofa bed with a mattress on it, making the room very cramped. Breakfast was crowded, and there was a strange smell in the room. Even with the air conditioning on, the window didn't open for ventilation, which was unpleasant.

We arrived at quite a busy time. Our room wasn’t ready at check in time so had to wait an hour. Was ok though, we just went and got some lunch.  We had courtyard room which was cosy for family of 4. Everything was clean and tidy. The courtyard is nice if you wa t to sit outside. The breakfast has good variety with both Western and Asian food.  Laundry service can be busy and a bit tricky to work out. You need to out it on and move it to a dryer. Once it’s done someone takes it out for you.  Location is right on the Bund.
