Mt.Wuling Great Rift Valley attraction is located in Wulingshan Township, approx. 40 km southeast of Fuling District, Chongqing. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The attraction covers an area of 29.96 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 1300 m. The mountains are uniquely shaped and richly vegetated, hosting over 2000 species of wild plants and 200 species of wild animals. The air is fresh and pleasant, with an exceptionally pristine ecological environment. It features mountains, forests, springs, caves, waterfalls, cliffs, lakes, pools, gorges, pits, and fissures, making it extremely rich in tourism resources. The ten-mile grand canyon is majestic and spectacular, with stacked peculiar rocks at the bottom and murmuring streams. The natural cliffs resemble the Great Wall, stretching for miles. The fissures and underground rivers are mysteriously magnificent. The attraction is renowned for Earth's ancient "scar"—a dramatic cliff fissure caused by intense crustal movements. The world's peculiar close-range reverse geological structure—Tianmen's perilous cliffs—resembles thin blades, with copper walls and iron fortresses extending for kilometers, astonishing geologists worldwide.
Visitor center:
The Wuling Mountain travelers center, designed and constructed in accordance with the national 5A-level attraction standards, is grand in scale, elegant in style, and fully functional. The entire travelers center consists of three parts: the travelers reception building, the travelers distribution square, and the eco-friendly parking lot. It covers an area of nearly 200 mu, with a construction area of 15,000 m².
Mt.Wuling Great Rift Valley attraction - Cloud mist pavilion:
Mt.Wuling Great Rift Valley attraction - The Cloud mist pavilion is located at an altitude of 1200 m, named after the perennial mist that surrounds it. It is another excellent viewing platform in the Mt.Wuling Great Rift Valley attraction. On clear days when the clouds and mist dissipate, you can see the Danzi mountain in Wulong county over a hundred miles away, and even the wind turbines of the wind power station on Danzi mountain are clearly visible. Overlooking the attraction from the Cloud mist pavilion, the scenery is like a poetic and picturesque sea of clouds!
Tianmen Cave cable bridge:
Within a 2 km range, there are large-scale horizontal, vertical, and reverse geological structural belts, forming a spectacle as sharp as a thin blade and stretching like an unbroken copper wall for kilometers, astonishing geologists worldwide. It has been selected by National Geographic as one of the top 100 recommended photography spots in the country.
Yunmengxi:
Step into the ancient village resembling a peach blossom paradise, with babbling streams, fragrant peach and plum blossoms, and idyllic pastoral scenery. Relax leisurely here and savor the distinctive Wuling cuisine—what a delightful experience.
Moonbeam workshop:
The ancient music hall is built beneath sheer cliffs and above a flowing stream, nestled between green mountains on both banks, forming a layout that embodies "high mountains and flowing waters meeting a soulmate." Here, you can admire time-honored Bayu ancient musical instruments and experience the distinctive charm of Bayu song and dance, transporting you across time to savor the eternal allure of the musical traditions from the ancient Ba Kingdom!
Wishing valley:
Below the sheer cliff of Sheshen Cliff, century-old blessing trees complement the pavilions and towers. Drink a bowl of "smashing bowl wine," tie a wish ribbon filled with heartfelt desires onto the blessing tree, enjoy the serene tranquility of the forest, and make beautiful wishes for this lifetime.
Qingtianxia ground fissure: Known as the earth's ancient "scar." With a total length of 1500 m, an average depth of over 300 m, and a maximum depth of 600 m, its narrowest point is less than 2 m wide, within arm's reach. It is the result of landform evolution and hundreds of millions of years of crustal movement. Here, one may see the clouds part and the sun emerge, occasionally encountering a ray of sunshine in the heart.
The preeminent master of Wuling:
A 42.6-degree extreme slope with a vertical drop of approx. 300 m and a diagonal length of 634 m. The colorful cable car glides out diagonally, inviting you to explore the hidden beauty and take in the breathtaking canyon views.

Show More ReviewsI went in the afternoon, and the park staff said the upper section was under maintenance, so only the lower section was open to visitors. Besides walking within the canyon, there are shuttle buses and cable cars throughout the entire route. The canyon scenery can be described in two words: "stunning." The entire walking route is flat, easy on the legs, and not tiring. Because it was the off-season and in the afternoon, there were few tourists, and all transportation had a 20-minute wait time. Highly recommended.
