Terrible experience. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided. I know checkout is at 11:00, but they called at 11:01 and knocked on the door at 11:05. The harassment was constant. When I went down at 11:55, they forced me to pay NT$400 for being "one hour late." Zero flexibility and zero hospitality. Avoid this place if you want a relaxing stay.

My recent stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing, and I would strongly advise against booking here. While the hotel looks appealing in photos, the reality is entirely different. In fact, after many years of traveling, this has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Our issues began the moment we arrived. We were early, and as frequent travelers, we simply wanted to leave our luggage in safekeeping until check-in. Instead of offering assistance, a staff member merely pointed to an unmonitored area near the elevator and told us to leave our bags there. There was no security, and no one watching them. Feeling we had no choice but to trust it, we left our luggage and went for lunch, but we were anxious the entire time about whether our belongings would be safe. Upon returning for check-in, we were directed to a machine rather than being greeted by a person, which felt very impersonal. All the specific requests I had made prior to booking were ignored. When we finally entered our room on the first floor, we were greeted by a terrible, moldy smell reminiscent of sewage. The odor was so overpowering that we had to wear masks inside the room for the entire night. We believe it was coming from the pipes. The room itself was extremely tiny, had no windows, and was in poor condition. The carpets were visibly dirty, and the duvets were wrinkled, which is a detail some hotels ensure is pristine. The lack of cleanliness and maintenance was shocking. I immediately asked to be moved to a different room, but was told none were available. To make matters worse, the hotel has no soundproofing. Throughout the night, the hallways were noisy, and we could clearly hear our neighbors chatting and laughing as if they were in the same room. The following morning, the breakfast was another letdown. The selection was very limited, the food was both bland and greasy, and the juices tasted heavily watered down. This was an awful experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend this hotel. Please, if you have a booking here, do everything you can to avoid room 122 in particular. It is not a secure, comfortable, or clean place to stay.

We stay at this hotel during Chinese New Year and the hotel provided some surprise gift for all the guests and I very happy nice day in this hotel every time when I come to Taiwan, but I hope that the checkout time will be later like 12 o’clock not 11 and breakfast will  later at 11:00 am, not 10 am

Good location and nice room, but the water pipe sound was very loud especially during the night. Apart from that, there’s cockroach in my room, running around, beside my bed, I told the staff but there was no action taken

Third time staying here but this time got disappointed because toiletries were no longer given and bottled water only given once upon check in. Nevertheless, still a good hotel if you want to be close to Ximending. Breakfast was good too :)

we arrived hotel  late 11.45pm on Monday night 2/2 . We had bad experience on check in , hotel reception wasn’t great and given us a terrible room on 1st floor neighbours around us were more likely backpackers mixed of Indian, Pakistani . Not happy hotel reception then changed our room to a better . Staffs were unfriendly. Hotel in good location

The room is smaller than expected from photos. One major downside is the height of the rainshower which is way too low. Imagine it can hit my head! Only suitable for height 1.7m and below.

I really enjoyed my stay at Midtown Richardson! The location was absolutely unbeatable just steps from Ximen MRT station and right in the heart of the Ximending shopping and food district, which made exploring Taipei super easy. The rooms were modern and comfortable with all the essentials like free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, and a kettle.
