"At this hostel's 1/0 sauna, I met an incredibly handsome bearded guy who spoke Chinese (he was well-endowed and had a piercing). He was very outgoing, and we had some fun in the darkroom upstairs once, where he even taught me how to blow, haha. But I'm a bit slow to warm up and shy, so the last time I saw him at the front desk, I was too embarrassed to ask for his contact info. Such a pity (I miss him, haha). The hotel service and location are great, but the facilities and cleanliness are a little lacking. Considering the low price, overall it's okay (but if you don't want to be bothered, I'd recommend a hotel instead)."

"It is a little backward and is uneasy until arrival, but it is convenient for shopping. The room itself was small, but it is enough to spend alone. (If you have a big luggage, you may feel a little narrow when you put in and out your luggage...) The shower room was clean and comfortable to use. The front desk always greeted me with a smile, and I was able to spend a very pleasant time during my stay. The room cleaning was a request ceremony. It's a good system for those who are a little worried about being able to enter the room during consecutive nights."

AandreaongxStayed at Monomer Hostel Bangkok as a solo female traveler and had a great experience. I stayed in a 5-bed female dorm, but there were only 3 girls during my stay, which made it quiet and comfortable. The hostel felt very safe, the beds were clean, and the shared bathrooms were well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming for solo backpackers. I would definitely recommend Monomer Hostel to female solo travelers looking for a safe, clean, and affordable place to stay in Bangkok.

GGuest Userit was an AWESOME STAY but location is a little hard to find at first. overall place was clean and people were friendly! toilet was CLEAAAAN. there is also a communal hairdryer it works pretty well. at night there is a fish auction i think. therefore, walking to 711 at 3am is pretty safe. personally as there is more people there late at night i feel it is safer. it is located beside the fish market so if you're sensitive to smells it might not be suited for you. there is also an ATM nearby. The BTS and pier is also near the hostel therefore transportation is prettty solid. lots of common areas to do your work! rooms are pretty soundproof as well! i did NOT encounter much mosquitos surprisingly! i had a mosquito bite like 5 times throughout my stay. i did not wear insect repellent at all! able to put your own food in the common fridge. shoe locker is also provided! there is also a locker to put all your stuff. there is luggage space but it is in the common area and the door is easily accessible. please do buy a lock for your luggage bedding is GOOD, mattress is GOOD, pillow can get uncomfortable though, not much neck support. a really good seafood buffet located beside the hostel! overall, i would DEFINITELY COME BACK! loved my stay there. if you're not bothered by fish smells this is probably the place for you!

GGuest UserThe location is across from Huiguang, and I felt quite removed from the hustle and bustle. Being tucked away in an alley seemed to offer more tranquility. Walking out every day on a street lined with yellow flowers really brightened my mood. I stayed in a female-only dorm, and it was a bit odd that there were so many Thai people staying there. The common areas were always quiet. Everyone came down for breakfast promptly every morning. You had to cook your own eggs, which was actually quite fun (it's a self-service buffet, and you're expected to clean up after yourself. You can even bring your own cutlery for the experience!). On weekends, the hotel even organized gatherings like BBQs and karaoke, and everyone was incredibly friendly.

GGuest UserThis is a youth hostel, and we were traveling with our parents. Although there wasn't a kettle in the room, there's one on the first floor where you can get hot water for free. There's also a security gate on each floor, which makes it very safe – people who aren't staying here can't go up. There's no elevator, but the staff were really enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated! The family room had an inner window, so ventilation wasn't great, but it was nice and quiet. The overall decor is very new and the style is simple. The common areas are quite well-equipped, with a kitchen, laundry room, dining area, tea tables and chairs, and computers. The front desk offers 24-hour service. There's a 400 deposit, which the staff returns after checking the room at checkout.

AAnasdanWe stayed at this hotel for one night, mainly because of its very convenient location — only a 4-minute walk to the Russian Embassy. The area is great overall, with several shopping malls nearby. Check-in was a bit unusual: there was no one at the reception, so we had to ring a bell and wait. After a while, a staff member came, registered us, gave us the keys, and explained where to go. Our room was on the 4th floor. It was generally comfortable and well-equipped, although not brand new — there are some visible signs of wear and tear. Pros: • Excellent location (especially for visiting the embassy) • The room is well-equipped: a very powerful fridge, coffee machine (latte and americano capsules), microwave, dishes and utensils • Large smart TV with internet (YouTube, Netflix) — a big plus and not very common • Good and stable Wi-Fi • Extremely strong water pressure — one of the best I’ve experienced • Both a bathtub and a separate shower • Comfortable mattress • Power outlets near the bed • Air conditioner works quietly and doesn’t blow directly onto the bed • Nice detail: you can watch TV from the bathtub through the window between the rooms Cons: • Quite a lot of ants in the room (not unusual for Thailand, but still) • Synthetic bed linen with some pilling — less comfortable than cotton • Bathroom feels a bit worn, despite the bathtub being new • The bathroom window cannot be fully closed — it has a mesh and lets air in constantly • Noise from the road (didn’t bother us much, but worth noting) • Slightly inconvenient check-in and check-out process (you need to call staff each time) Overall, it’s a good option for a short stay, especially if location is important. The hotel feels a bit worn in places, but still comfortable and well-equipped.

GGuest UserOverall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)

SS R ArifI had a good stay at Bangkok Digi Co-Hostel overall. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is nice and comfortable. They clean the hostel daily, and both the bathrooms and showers are kept very clean. For this budget and location, they really try to provide the best possible experience. One big advantage is that they also have a kitchen, which is rare for many cheaper hostels in this area. There are just a few things that could be improved. The mattresses are a bit hard, and the beds are not very stable. If someone climbs to the upper bunk, the whole bed shakes quite a lot. It would be much better if the beds were fixed more securely to the wall for better stability and easier climbing. The ladders are also quite thin, so they can hurt your feet and feel a little unsafe. Another small issue is that filtered drinking water is not always available regularly. If they improve these few things, this would easily become a perfect budget hostel for the area.
