The Peninsula Hong Kong

The Peninsula Hong Kong's status is beyond doubt—it's a truly iconic landmark. The facilities inside are comprehensive and exceptionally well-maintained, featuring smart tablet controls. The only drawback is that the mattress is quite firm; even with an added feather mattress topper, it remained hard, feeling like a hard board after just 20 minutes and waking me up with aches at 3:00 AM. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. The gym is on the smaller side, and the air conditioning was set too low. Sunlight streaming in through the terrace made it very hot, so I couldn't manage to work out for more than a few minutes.

The room is exceptionally well-maintained—you honestly can't tell it's a century-old hotel. Elegance and luxury are felt in every corner. The only slight drawback was the breakfast, which was just average, though perhaps my expectations were simply too high. On the plus side, complimentary free-flowing Evian water was a fantastic touch!

Our stay at The Peninsula Hong Kong was simply impeccable from start to finish. This century-old classic hotel exudes rich heritage, and its location is absolutely superb, offering direct walking access to major shopping districts in Tsim Sha Tsui and the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station, making getting around incredibly convenient. The rooms are elegant and spacious, with soft bedding and fully equipped bathroom amenities. The butler service was attentive and meticulous, with luxury evident in every detail. The afternoon tea and Michelin-starred restaurants are definitely worth experiencing!

The biggest highlight is the lobby, which is full of historical charm and aesthetic appeal. In stark contrast, the room facilities are far too dated, giving off the vibe of a 1990s three-star hotel. It just doesn't live up to the price tag, the reputation, or that stunning lobby. As for the food, I didn't try it, so no comment.

Staying at The Peninsula gives you a true sense of old money charm. Needless to say, the hotel's décor and furnishings are exquisite; the furniture, doors, and vanity tables in the room exude a high-end texture and luxury that cheap "light luxury" styles simply cannot match. Our absolute favorite was the pool—there is dedicated staff constantly attending to your needs, and you can even dine poolside. Being able to enjoy afternoon tea in the lobby at any time was also a wonderful experience.

The Peninsula Hong Kong, located in Tsim Sha Tsui, lives up to its reputation as the 'Grand Dame of the Far East.' Every detail exudes the poise and elegance of an economic boom era. Despite being a 'century-old establishment,' the hotel's attention to detail is still impeccable. The 'Peninsula Time' is a fantastic perk, especially for red-eye flights, as you can check in early in the morning, making it incredibly good value for money. There's a hidden gem downstairs: the Peninsula Boutique, where you can pick up souvenirs, and a wonderful European supermarket that's definitely worth exploring! The custom-made Rolls-Royces at the entrance are incredibly eye-catching 🥹. I'm so tempted to try riding in one to see if it makes me feel like a socialite! It's 2500 for airport transfer, but I'll save that for 'next time' hahaha.

Traveling with seniors to Hong Kong, it was our first stay at The Peninsula Hong Kong, and we were very satisfied with everything. The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient. We also received an upgrade to a sea-view suite.

Staying at The Peninsula Hong Kong again after many years. It still has that familiar elegant ambiance, ideally situated right by Victoria Harbour, making it convenient for getting around. After all these years, the service quality remains top-notch, with meticulous attention to detail. The timeless quality that comes with a long-established hotel like this is irreplaceable, making it my preferred choice every time I visit Hong Kong.
