The Peninsula Hong Kong

The Peninsula Hotel's location is undoubtedly excellent, and the rooms come with magazines and welcome fruit. Personally, I found the king-size bed, which was two single beds pushed together, to be an average sleeping experience. The breakfast was decent but didn't quite match the price point, in my opinion. Furthermore, if The Peninsula could offer a hotel tour, similar to what The Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai does for its guests, to help visitors delve deeper into the hotel's history, that would be a great improvement.

The room was spacious with brand-new facilities, decorated in a traditional Chinese 'old money' style. The bathroom had double sinks and a separate wet/dry area, and it was also quite large. From the moment we got out of the car, the staff actively helped with our luggage. Check-in at the front desk was warm and efficient, and they even personally escorted us to our room. We felt completely at home.

Everything about this hotel was satisfying. The location is excellent, very close to shopping centers like K11 and Harbour City. It's directly facing Victoria Harbour, offering superb views from the sea-view rooms. The in-room facilities are comprehensive, and the service attitude is great with quick responses to requests.

Overall, it was just okay, nothing special. The facilities are old and dated, and it's pretty unbelievable that the front desk staff didn't speak any Chinese – that's a bit much, especially for a hotel that's supposedly been around for almost a hundred years. Definitely doesn't compare to places like the Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons in Hong Kong.

Fantastic holiday! Even with the typhoon, the beautiful hotel, excellent service, and friendly staff made for a wonderful experience.

After one night, my arms were covered in bites. When I complained to the front desk, they just gave me an ice pack and didn't do anything else. This is unacceptable.

The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were very friendly.

I chose The Peninsula for a concert with my daughter. The service and ambiance were excellent, and Gaddi's was fantastic – I recommend making reservations in advance. The hotel's location is superb and very convenient. It definitely lives up to its reputation as a classic, luxurious hotel.

This veteran hotel on Hong Kong Island truly lives up to its reputation. The overall decor has that classic 90s Hong Kong and Taiwan vibe – understated yet luxurious. But don't let the retro style fool you; all the electronics are modern and digitally controlled, so it's not stuck in the past. The staff is always on hand to tidy your room and they pay close attention to details, like even neatly organizing your charging cables.
