I liked the hotel, but it was nowhere near Nikko Kaohsiung, which was supposed to be a modest version. The breakfast in Okura is just average and the atmosphere is not consistent. Some of the concierges know little English.. Tepanyaki restaurant was great, but no show from the chef..

Room is spacious and clean, staff is generally friendly. The lady at the pastry shop was a bit cool though. Their pineapple cakes are good. Nice flavour and packing.

A wonderful hotel with a wonderful large room with all the modern controls and options. The roof top pool is great. The gym, not so much. It has an odd rage of machines and dumbells. No flip-flops or similar at breakfast was one of those unique Taiwan angles that I found out after trying to get breakfast. It is on a pah with the silly swimming cap rule Asian countries seem to delight in. Other than that. A wonderful hotel in a great location
