"Second time I've stayed here. First visit couldn't fault. This visit Requested a room with a balcony when I booked three weeks ago. This did not occur Early check in as I was going to the cricket. Could not do Issues with the tv and not getting the channel I wanted Spa bath - did not work Lying in the bath, looking at the toilet from under the eye line. Totally discusting, big build up of unclean scum Even if the spa bath was working, no soap/bubble bath provided. Really quite disappointing as my last visit was great"

"The best thing about this Haka in Christchurch is its super close proximity to the Botanic Gardens. Basically, you just cross the street and you're there. As for cleanliness, it's neither outstanding nor bad. The triple room had a bunk bed plus a single bed, with the single bed facing the window. Compared to other Haka accommodations, the layout here felt a bit cramped. Also, the bunk beds in this Haka weren't as sturdy as those in Queenstown and Wanaka – they creaked quite a bit when getting on or off. However, this Haka has plenty of bathrooms, one in the triple room itself and three more outside on the floor, which is really convenient."

"Having stayed in so many hotels across the South Island, this was the first time I felt like I was back in a hotel in China. The plump manager at the front desk personally escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage – truly welcoming and enthusiastic. It's only after coming to New Zealand that you realize how much Chinese hotels pamper their guests, treating them like gods: 24-hour front desks, check-out times at 12 PM or even 2 PM, and amenities like disposable slippers readily available. They also don't rigidly charge an extra $30 per child like in New Zealand. Many hotels here simply don't have a concept of service; everything is pretty much self-service. This Sudima is one of the few hotels that can truly compare to those in China!"

"This hotel offers excellent value for money in Christchurch. It's about 7-8 kilometers from the airport, similar to a 'Home Inn' or 'JI Hotel' in China – well-equipped and comfortable. The front desk service was warm and patient. My child was sick, and when I requested a late check-out, the Caucasian gentleman at the front desk readily agreed. Thumbs up! 👍"

"Budget, clean & comfortable hotel. I stayed in the mixed sleeping pod. Each pod come with locked storage. The communal resting area & kitchen is housed in a huge space with high ceilings, a bit stuffy though since the kitchen is also in the same area. The hotel is very near to Christchurch airport, ideal location for those at late arrival or require early departure."

"We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Christchurch Airport. The location is unbeatable — literally just a short walk from the airport terminal, making it incredibly convenient, especially for travellers with young children. We stayed for one night with our toddler as we had an early morning flight the next day, and it was the perfect choice. Being able to rest properly without worrying about airport transfers made our journey so much smoother. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for our family. Everything was clean and thoughtfully laid out, giving us a relaxing stay before our flight. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention to the concierge team, who kindly gifted our toddler a cute little Kiwi bird plushie. It was such a thoughtful gesture and brought a huge smile to his face. Small touches like these really make a difference and leave a lasting impression. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great service, fantastic location, and family-friendly hospitality. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Christchurch."

"The room is generally good, the facilities are a bit old, the chair is sunken, the bathroom door cannot be closed, the screw of the door handle is loose for a large part, and it feels like the door handle will fall off when you pull it hard."

"I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Christchurch on the way out, but Hilton liked the location in the decoration, so I chose the Park Rita Hotel opposite Hilton on the return trip. Hotel location is very good, out of the hotel, turn right and walk a few steps across the road is the city green lung Hagley Hagley Park, Hagley Park Harley Park is the largest park in Christchurch, located in the center of Christchurch, covering a large area. The park is mainly large lawns, and there are many English football fields on it. The part surrounded by the Avon River is the Botanical Garden in Christchurch. Crossing the park is the city center, so it is a perfect city walk route. There are large supermarkets around, parking spaces are sufficient and free. The appearance of the hotel is clean and tidy. Since the 108 room (Figure 2) was arranged in front of the stairs, the self-degraded room type lived in a big bed studio apartment. Due to the structure of the house, the door was glass. I felt very cold when I returned to the room at night, and I found that the heater was bad. Usually there are problems with the facilities, whether to repair or change the room, the front desk female customer service must be said to be all rooms, and finally Trip.com intervention, the hotel finally provides a mini heater (Figure 5) and a blanket (Figure 6).
