Avani Residences works particularly well if you want a proper apartment rather than a standard hotel room. The residence-style layout makes it far more liveable, especially for stays longer than a night or two.
The apartment had good internal space, a usable balcony, and modern fittings throughout. A real highlight was having full laundry facilities – washing machine and dryer – which made it easy to deal with wet swimwear and beach towels. The fully equipped kitchen, including a breakfast bench, was practical and well set up rather than decorative.
Location-wise, it’s excellent. The building sits opposite the new casino precinct developments, diagonally across from Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, and only a short walk to the tram stop, making it easy to get around without a car. Broadbeach itself feels more relaxed than Surfers Paradise, and the beach here is currently in better condition, with Surfers losing a fair bit of sand after Cyclone Albert.
The complex itself is modern and well maintained, with a pool, small gym, and a clubhouse-style bar/restaurant. It’s also close to other new developments in Broadbeach, so the area feels fresh and active without being chaotic.
Overall, a strong choice if you value space, self-sufficiency, and location, and prefer an apartment-style stay over a traditional hotel experience.

KKiwi_NomadThe Mantra Circle on Cavill is a great place to stay while visiting Surfers, the apartments are large with floor to ceiling windows from the bedroom and lounge,
This apartment was on level 30 on the city river side, great views and this is the side with sunset.
I’ve also stayed on the Seaview side with a sunrise in the morning.
I think the Seaview side is slightly better with the views
It has a full kitchen everything is modern and comfortable
It’s like staying at someone’s home

GGuest UserThe hotel has great floor-to-ceiling window views. If you contact them in advance, they can even make up the sofa bed for you. There's a tram stop right downstairs, and it's only 500 meters to a large Woolworths supermarket, 800 meters to Coles, and 500 meters to the main bustling commercial street. The dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave, and fridge are all fully equipped.
The only downside is that there's no daily housekeeping, and most of the power outlets on the living room wall were broken.

GGuest UserOur experience was good. The apartments are well organised and no lengthy check-in process like other places. A bit surprised after paying the amount due weeks before and then being requested for another $500 prior to checking in otherwise the booking can't be guaranteed. Most people take American Express in the accommodation industry and this was also a surprise. Apart from that it was a very pleasant state and we will book it again if we get a good deal.

KKiwi_NomadThe apartment is serviced by Wowstay, not the Mantra Hotel. So the key has to be picked up from a lockbox at the base of the hotel and returned to the same lockbox. It’s a very professional and easy process, however I would recommend when dropping the key off to drive your car from the car park to the front of the Mantra Hotel checkin area. Leave your car there as there is no other convenient / close places to park. Then walk up the stairs around the side of the Mantra building to the lockbox area.
The apartment I stayed in was on the 21st floor facing the ocean. It has the same layout as the other apartments with a modern bathroom, large sized bath that looks out over the bedroom, out to the ocean. The main bedroom and lounge have floor to ceiling views. It has a large balcony and great views of the coast. It has an extra large flatscreen TV, nice art work, a full kitchen. It also has a very comfortable leather lounge.
There is an open study area that is used as an open bedroom for two single beds. The main bedroom has a king size bed. However I did find it unusual that a single pop-up bed had been made with linen in the same main bedroom. ( it was placed between the window and the end the bed, which obscured the view and took up the rest of the space in the bedroom. It looked out of place, it wasn’t necessary) it was easy to fold up, which I did and I placed it in the other area with the two other beds. I suggest you do the same if this happens to you. Or maybe you can request that it’s not used in the apartment? I will next time I stay.
The location is great, central to everything. I have stayed at the Mantra through the hotel a few times before, however it was cheaper through Wowstay and it was as nice as the hotel apartments, so I will stay here again when I’m visiting the Surfers Paradise.
The extra bonus with booking this via Wowstay, is that a carpark space is included with the booking, however if you book an apartment through the Mantra Hotel, you will be charged an additional fee.

GGuest UserSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

MMelzza23Unfortunately we did not have a great stay. We booked 3 apartments for a family vacation and all 3 had issues. All 3 apartments had faulty air cons. 1 air con didn’t work at all and also a toilet in that apartment didn’t work either. Also when we arrived, we found one of our carparks had a car parked in it and that 2 other guests were allocated the same Carpark as us. We all contacted the letting company and all guests were told to seek help from the apartment reception who then told us all to contact the letting company as they don’t deal with the private apartments and their carparks. So it was back and forth for hours, we even visited the office twice until the car was finally removed. In terms of the no aircon/ broken toilet room, we were told there was nothing the letting company could do about it as they only have 1 staff member on so we’d have to wait for the next day and that some of our cost would be refunded (We are still waiting). The next day, in the morning the staff member visited and said the aircon is broken and they’ll have to find another room so will get back to us. It was close to the letting company’s closing time and we hadn’t heard back so we followed up only to be told there’s no more rooms available and our family would have to make do with the fans. Our family members in the no aircon room got sick from the heat/ stuffiness even with the doors and windows open.
