"Stayed at Hotel Africa in an executive room. The location on Avenue Habib Bourguiba is very convenient for exploring central Tunis, although personally I think the atmosphere becomes more interesting slightly closer to the Medina. Still, Tunis is compact enough that this never really mattered. The executive room was extremely spacious. The bed was comfortable, but overall both room and bathroom were fairly simple and slightly dated in style. However, the hotel is solid and practical choice in a good central location."

"Overall, this place offers great value for money. This street is full of hotels named after different countries. The hotel is on a somewhat run-down street, and yes, there will be trash, but it also gets cleaned up. If you're booking a day tour, it's not too far from the meeting point. It was Ramadan, and the owner recommended a good place to eat. The room was quite comfortable for a solo traveler. You might need to ask the front desk for a hairdryer."

"This hotel was excellent. A male staff member named ZOUHAYER at the reception desk checked me in, and when I mentioned that I had an early morning flight the next day and asked about taxis, he was very helpful and polite. He was a very kind person. (I have received permission to mention his name.) Shampoo and body soap are provided in the room. The room was very clean, had air conditioning, and I was able to spend a comfortable time there."

"The hotel is located in a very safe and clean area. They provide a parking in the basement for free. The hotel is very clean and smells good everywhere. The staff are very helpful and support you in calling taxis and carrying luggage. The rooms are well equipped. Bring your own slippers. I booked a triple room for my two daughters and me and they upgraded for free to an executive suite. It was very cozy. The breakfast formula has many options so that you create your meal as you want to. It is close to many sites that you may plan to visit. We truly enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend the hotel."

"A very pleasant stay. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious, and cleaned daily. However, the soundproofing could be improved: the noise from the hallways is quite audible. Another point for improvement is the hot water, which is inefficient in the morning, with very little hot water available, unlike in the afternoon and evening. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Tunis, just a 2-minute walk from the train station and about an 11-minute walk from the shared taxi station serving the southern cities."

"The hotel is really well located at the entrance to the Medina. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good if you like Tunisian-style. The shower needs some work as the shower head would not stay up (my father’s room was the same). Otherwise a good stay. Will be back later in the week."

"A pleasant stay. Lake Tunis in front of the hotel is beautiful, and you can enjoy the lake view from your room balcony. The hotel lobby is grand, and the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and guest rooms were all very friendly. The breakfast ingredients were fresh. Although it's relatively close to the airport, you can barely hear the noise of planes taking off and landing when the doors and windows are closed. Standing on the balcony, you can hear the planes taking off and landing, but the noise isn't loud, and it seems like there aren't many flights taking off and landing each day."
