PPinto767Your Lakefront Anchorage is a fantastic place to stay, offering an unbeatable location and great service. The setting is simply stunning, with beautiful lake views that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Whether enjoying the scenery from the property or heading out for outdoor activities, the location is perfect.
The service was excellent—friendly, accommodating, and attentive to guests’ needs. Check-in was smooth, and the staff made sure everything was comfortable throughout my stay. The accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped for a hassle-free experience.
If you’re looking for a lakefront getaway with a perfect balance of tranquility and convenience, this is the place to be. I highly recommend it and would definitely return!
GGuest UserThe hotel environment is very good and very clean! There are specimens of brown bears and wolves in the lobby, which is spectacular, and there is a free self-service coffee machine and hot water, which is too important for me to come back from minus 40 degrees outside! ! !
But! ! ! The hotel has no service at all. I never cleaned up the room for five days. I don’t know if it’s the same in American hotels.
YYUThe location is absolutely convenient, the room is relatively small, but the family of 3 does not feel crowded. The price performance ratio is high.
GGuest UserThe location is good, very close to the National Park and visitor centre. It has a restaurant and coffee shop and a shuttle buses. The hotel is very aged, needs a full upgrade. The fan is very old and noisy. When the next door room using shower/toliet you can hear clearly. All the towels/sheets should be for many years without change, small, hard and in dirty colour. The back door has no lock, using a wooden stick instead. The cleaners and front desk are untrained, they gave us a wrong instruction to our tour and ended up we missed it. When we asked for a room service to a cleaner, 2 managers came in and asked why we needed a room service(we only need to have a new towels and get rubbish removed). We were charged $44 for a luggage transfer fees when we check out( we’re not told when we checked in).Compared with other hotels at this area, the price is much higher. Princess lodge cross road is a much better choice but it was full when we booked it
GGuest UserWe enjoyed the room and how clean it was. We also liked feeling secure with a gate for all guests. We didn’t feel secure at other hotels like that. The only real issues I had was that the pool is very outdated. Doesn’t smell of chlorine at all just smells like a gravel pit. We didn’t want to get the water on our mouths because there was a lot of dirt in the pool. So it needs to be updated. Nobody should have to swim in a dirty pool with no chlorine in 2021. That’s the whole reason people probably want to stay there so I know we are not the only guests that were let down with this old stinky outdated pool. Also they need to make their fitness room bigger and they need some weights in there. Because all you can do is run. Plus the breakfasts were very cheap. Greek yogurts are nasty it should’ve been regular yoplait. With a granola bar, orange, and bottle of water. Not sure if I will stay there ever again unless they fix all these issues and stop being cheapskates!
Ff1trillionAlthough the hotel is still pretty new, there's a frightening amount of wear and tear already present on all furniture, doors and walls. While the cleanliness is as expected, sound insulation is non-existant, which is why it was hard to sleep when you could hear every vehicle outside as loud as if you were standing next to it (and our room was on the highest floor). Neither the check-in lady at the front desk nor the kitchen staff were very friendly. The breakfast was probably the worst we ever had. It's advertised from 6:30-9:30am but when we arrived at 7am, most must-have items like bagels were already gone and weren't refilled. Also, the pancake machine was broken. All in all, it was a very disappointing stay.
GGuest UserStaying at Northern Sky Lodge was an incredible experience and the perfect spot for aurora viewing. I stayed for two nights and saw the Northern Lights both nights! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, with a great living area and a fully equipped kitchen. Having breakfast with hot coffee and cocoa in the snow was just magical. You do need to rent a car and drive about 30 minutes from the city, but it's worth it because getting away from the city lights is essential for the clearest aurora views. It was truly an ultimate experience!!!
GGuest UserStay at ramada was a 4/5 with early check in and nice and supportive staff. Location was near and walkable from downtown. Every excursion pickup point is literally 5-10min walkable from hotel.
Only reasons for not giving 5/5 are
1. Room Phone was not working
2. Temperature control of Shower if our room was not working though they did provide alternate room just for shower purpose
I would recommend this hotel for nearness to downtown and especially friendly staff
AAlcantarait is a good place to stay; it is very convenient, near the airport, a 3-5 minutes drive away, some tourist attraction like Pioneer park, pikes ice bridge, and Fred Meyer. the hotel is very clean, they have free coffee at the front. but there is no housekeeping. they didn't clean our room for 3 days, so i assumed they didn't have a housekeeping daily. the staff was very friendly, except for the lady with the blue/red highlights on her hair; she was mean to my daughter.
