Pingdingshan Forest Park

As one of the four major parks of Benxi National Geopark, Pingdingshan Park has experienced many crustal lifting and depressions during the long geological evolution process, and has alternate sea and land changes, volcanic eruptions, rock weathering stripping, and handling, forming a complex inlaid with centralized structural belts. The structural system and tectonic layer, of which the geological phenomenon of rock weathering and stripping is the most prominent, granite, shale, sandstone and other widely distributed, is the condensation of the "Benxi geological cradle", it is not only the teaching and research base of geological disciplines, but also the multidisciplinary comprehensive teaching and research base.

Pingding Mountain is one of the symbols of Benxi landscape city, and the landform features are mainly in the middle and low mountain landscape. The area of Pingding Mountain-Sifangtai is a layered rock with the back layer quartz rock, forming flat-topped peaks. "Flat top like a ripple, wall like axe cutting, mountains and green, valleys and deep, peaks and stones, grass and forest" summarized the important characteristics of Pingdingshan Ecological Park, and formed the unique scenery of Benxi City "There are cities in the mountains, there are mountains in the city".

Pingdingshan Ring (National) Forest Park is located at the southeast end of Benxi City. It belongs to the after-maiden of Changbai Mountain, and the altitude is 661.2 meters. It is the highest point of controlling the city. The mountain is majestic and is a typical table-shaped mountain.

Free park, take the 28th road from the urban railway station to Pingshan Construction and get off. You can go up the mountain by going right before you go up the mountain. Take a flat road, and then there are very neat steps. You can climb to the top of the mountain along the steps. It takes about 50 minutes. It is not sun-dried. The scenery on the mountain is very good, and you can also go down the mountain on the same road. You can also take the cableway down the mountain, you can also go down the mountain from the bunker group, pass the village, as if you have walked to the mountain again, just walk along the mountain road, about an hour and a half, you can go to the road at the high-speed toll gate, follow the road, there are 17 buses to the train station.

From Benxi City, driving Pingding Mountain is not far away. The park is free, but the cost of driving is required to collect the car. Some places in the park are still relatively narrow, so you need to pay attention to driving. The scenery along the way is good, personal feeling, except for no amusement facilities, the scenery does not lose the park for a fee. Open to the location close to the peak, there is a parking lot, there is a tea room nearby, floor-to-ceiling windows, the scenery is good. The tea room owner is very good, the tea is also cheap, sitting in the tea room to have a cup of tea and see the scenery, is the right way to open in summer.
