There is a monument and an explanation board in the planting of the east pavement of Senbon-dori, which is about ５ north on foot from JR Nijo Station. Suzakumon was the main gate to the Odairiri of Heiangu, the northern end of Suzaku Oji. This area was the center of Heiankyo.

Senbon-dori is a very ordinary road with many car streets now, and although it wasn't a good one, there are many monuments around it that show the remains of Heiankyo.
