Uonuma no Sato is a complex facility operated by Hakkai Brewery, a representative sake brewery in Niigata. Since it is located in the mountains of Mt. Hakkai, it was located in a place where you can overlook the Minami Uonuma area, which is the hometown of Koshihikari from Uonuma. Facilities such as breweries, shops, and restaurants are scattered in the vast site. I was able to visit the storage warehouse using a large amount of snow, and I was able to drink local beer.
I was introduced to an acquaintance of Ojiya and went there. It is a facility of Hakkaisan Brewery. First of all, I ate a delicious lunch at the adjacent employee cafeteria and went on a snow room tour. The tour is 10 people every 30 minutes. It was full just because the snow was put in the snow room at the time. The end of the tour was the shochu barrel storage. I was a little worried about the shochu bottle keeping for up to 5 years until the anniversary. If you have a chance to visit this area, I think you should visit it once. I wonder if it's enough to see souvenirs and enjoy the atmosphere around you without eating. If you have time, go to the Bahai Mountain Snow Room, where you can experience the natural air conditioning.
