It is also known as the "Penglai Fairyland".

As the National Day is getting closer and closer, dear sisters, choose your favorite inn for your journey in advance. Generally, if you stay in the same inn for three nights, you can enjoy free pick-up service. Remember to ask in advance, don't let the wrong money flow away. When buying flower cakes, hand-baked ones are more delicious and have excellent taste. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, especially in Lijiang with high altitude, the ultraviolet rays are so strong that people can't ignore. In addition, umbrellas are also essential, both for sunshade and rain. After October, the rain will gradually decrease, mainly sunny and cloudy, and the sun shines directly, an umbrella can make you cope calmly. The temperature in Lijiang in October is between 9-20 degrees, kindly remind that clothes should be sufficient. The temperature difference between morning and evening is large, windbreakers, thin sweaters and other warm clothes are necessary. The rainy season is coming, if it rains, thick clothes can also come in handy, of course, you can also buy on the spot. In the dry weather, body lotion and hydrating masks are the saviors of the skin. For accommodation, it's a good choice to be near or next to the ancient city. But don't live in the center of the ancient city, the stone road is a test for the weight of the suitcase, if there is an innkeeper to help pick up and drop off, that's even better! It's worth mentioning that the ancient city does not charge admission fees or maintenance fees. When shopping, you need to know how to bargain. There are a dazzling array of small commodities in the ancient city, such as skirts, earrings, etc. Look at several stores before making a decision, comparison and bargaining are necessary. Don't wear high heels when visiting the ancient city, the stone road will make your feet tired. Comfortable flat shoes are the best choice. In addition, be alert to the enthusiastic chats of the roadside aunts, they are often just selling goods. Be careful when taking a black car, it's not uncommon for private cars to be unlicensed. After getting on the car, pay attention to whether the license plate is consistent with the order. A hotel where you can lie down for three days without going out. Among the many hotels/homestays/inns I've stayed in Yunnan, this is the only one that has received our collective approval and that we are willing to recommend to others - Yiting Xiaodao. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so it has an excellent environmental angle, with all rooms having a lake view. The view from the room windows is picturesque, and you can take a photo that looks like a painting. Cars can't drive up there; the hotel's parking lot is at the foot of the mountain. If you contact the housekeeper in advance, they will send a car to pick us up and help with the luggage to the room, with a service score of 100. This hotel has the best service consciousness I have encountered in Yunnan, bar none. The rooms are fully equipped with shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, etc., and the amenities are also quite good. To be honest, if I were to travel to Yunnan, Lugu Lake would be my first choice. After landing in Kunming and spending three days in Shuanglang and Erhai, I headed straight for Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake spans the provinces of Yunnan and Sichuan, with no extreme heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. The mysterious Mosuo people, the pristine Lugu Lake, and their unique 'walking marriage' ceremony make many people eager to visit. I've organized some tips to avoid tourist traps, hoping to help friends. ❌ Do not choose to travel during the peak season A homestay that usually costs only a hundred yuan can be hyped up to a thousand yuan during peak times! Toilets, dining, and scenic spots are all overcrowded. Remember that March and April are off-season, while summer and winter vacations are peak times. ❌ Beware of illegal taxi drivers There is no direct bus from Dali to Lugu Lake, so the three of us chose to share a business car for 180 yuan per person. When we arrived in Lijiang, the original driver left us and arranged another car. Unfortunately, that driver refused to deliver Ladies! Take advice, choose official channels for travel. Take a bus from Lijiang, or fly directly from Kunming, although there are not many flights, so it's advisable to book early. ❌ Do not choose a rainy day to go to Lugu Lake Whether it's Erhai or Lugu Lake, the effect on a rainy day is completely different from a sunny day! Lugu Lake on a cloudy day is pure and peaceful, but under the sunlight, the lake water is light and agile, with a kaleidoscope of colors. It's hard to say whether it's blue or green, but that clarity and brightness are something not even a painter can mix, so vivid and brilliant. It's impossible to resist exclaiming, 'Oh my, it's just too beautiful!' The 'Tyndall effect' as the morning light pierces through the clouds is absolutely blinding! ✅ Ways to travel The entrance fee is 70 yuan. Lugu Lake is not big, you can drive yourself or hire a car. Sharing a car costs 50 yuan per person, while hiring a car costs 200 yuan. For a group of girlfriends traveling, four is the best number, economical and manageable. ✅ Accommodation Daluoshui is one of the earliest developed villages in Lugu Lake, with a strong commercial atmosphere, and the cost-performance ratio of guesthouses, hostels, and bars is relatively high. We chose the relatively quiet Nizhai Village, where you step out the door and there's Lugu Lake, with indoor facilities so good they're astonishing! ✅ Take a pig trough boat: 150 yuan per person June, July, and August offer the best value for money, with the chance to see the water bloom. It's best to go early in the morning, as it blooms early and withers late. Rent a boat at six in the morning to see the sunrise and morning mist. My best friend captured the scene of seagulls soaring over the azure lake, with the morning light shining on the lake, absolutely beautiful. ✅ About altitude sickness Lugu Lake covers an area of fifty square kilometers, with the deepest part reaching over a hundred meters, and a visibility of twelve meters, with the highest altitude over three thousand meters. The Fuyun Homestay we stayed at even had an oxygen machine. This time, whether it was the snow-capped mountains or Lugu Lake, we didn't feel any discomfort. Next year's Sichuan-Tibet route, we'll also bring it along.
