Yazhou Bay is the southwestern bay of Sanya City, Hainan Province, and the top of the bay is filled with Ningyuan River. Yazhou Bay is an important ancient cultural site in Hainan. It is the harbor for the departure and resupply of the ancient Chinese Maritime Silk Road. In the Tang Dynasty, Jianzhen Master Dongdu was typhoon drifting in Japan, and landed in Yazhou Bay. After the sea was wet, the scrolls were dried on the slopes of the cliffs of Yazhou Bay. This sloping land was called “sunburn slope” by the local people.
