Do you know "Zenkeiji"? This is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu sect near Akebonobashi Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line and is called Shiratoriyama. It is located in a small high place facing Yasukuni-dori and you can climb the slope to reach the mountain gate. It is designated as a tangible cultural property in Shinjuku Ward with a Bonsho that has been around since the Edo period, which is one of the highlights of the Jodo Shinshu Otani school temple. It was made by Fujiwara no Masatsugu, OTA OMI OMI, a caster who had a workshop in Fukagawa and was active.

The bonsho is famous.

Bonsho was made about 300 years ago in the Edo period and is still used in active service. I am impressed that the sound of the historic Bonsho was comfortable and left without being offered well from the war.
