    Impressive

Viewing the mummified remains and reading the history of the monk Tetsuryukai made the 15 minute bicycle from JR Tsuruoka station worthwhile (free rental bicycles are available at the Tourist Informat...

It is "Nangakuji" where the immortal Buddha "Iron Dragon Seaman" is enshrined.

    Original Text

It is "Nangakuji" that enshrines the imina Buddha "Tetsuryu Kaijin". I received a polite explanation from "Grandma" who would have managed the temple. In addition, there was also a sacred hall of the spiritual ability person "Kagaminami Nine" in the Meiji era, and I had them worship. There was also a stone monument of Kobo Daishi. On this trip, I was the third place to visit "Immediate Buddha", so I was able to visit it calmly. I think it was good to visit. "Grandma" is also a good feeling ...

A temple where you can meet a precious immortal Buddha

    Original Text

On the way from Tsuruoka city to the highway interchange, I stopped by this temple, which was known to have a so-called mummy, Sokushinbutsu. For some reason, it looked like God 々 only for the body of a superior who had been training hard.

    Meet the Buddha immediately

    Original Text

The Tsuruoka area is concentrated with temples enshrining Sokushinbutsu. Among them, at Nangakuji Temple in the city, a temple enshrining Sokushinbutsu is located downstairs of the main hall and you can worship up close. It was too easy to meet the Buddha, so it felt like a beat.

    Worship early in the morning

    Original Text

I worshiped early in the morning when I stayed in Tsuruoka. Nandakeji is a Shingon sect temple located about 15 minutes by bus from JR Tsuruoka Station. It is also famous as a temple that enshrines the "Tetsuryu Kaijin" who has been training hard at Dewa Sanzan and became a Sokushinbutsu. Shonai seems to have 6 Tsukushinbutsu. If you are interested, why not take a look around? In the precincts, there was a temple dedicated to Buddha feet, a reclining statue, and Toshie Chonan (supernatural person?) (Awashima Daimyojin).
