    This is the place where Japan's first truss iron bridge was bridged in 1897. Currently, the railing of Yoshida Bridge is designed with that in mind. The explanation board of the bridge is under the JR elevated on the north side of the bridge.

    The Yoshida Bridge, built in 1869, is the first truss-structured iron bridge in Japan designed by Richard Henry Branton. The stone monument and his statue were built, but now under the bridge is the Metropolitan Expressway and cars are running.
