Historic site in Yokohama
I took my 12-year-old daughter here. She wasn't that much interested before we arrived, but once there seemed to become more interested in the house and the displays. On the day we went it was the mid...
I visited the Shishigaya Yokomizo Mansion last year with a group of Semester At Sea students and two members of the KSGG Club, who hosted us for one day in Yokohama. When we arrived, people were ch...
It is the park only in Yokohama City, and there is an old building "Yokomizo Yashiki" built in the Edo period. Enter through the thatched "Nagayamon". Oh yeah, this mansion is free of charge. You can experience the entire site of a magnificent wealthy farmer's mansion. I think it is very well preserved. In particular, most of the main building is accessible, and you can see up to the corner 々. While there are preservation houses that can only be put in some rooms or can't go up to the 2 floor, I was very satisfied with the way to open this place where I can walk around with color 々 and experience the old residence with myself. Because it is blessed with the surrounding environment, the garden and the surrounding scenery from the room were also tasteful and good.
Because the location is a little inconvenient, it is taken up in the local newspaper every year, and it is a spot that the person who knows knows, but there are almost no people except the event, and it feels like it is back to oneself You can relax. I've visited several similar old folk houses, but there is a farmhouse like this, and you can go in and out freely during the day, and you also have regular events. I think there are few places that are always cleaned. ... including the second floor.
