What travelers say:

The park was built in 1910 and was originally a private garden of Tang Shaoyi. It cost nearly 400,000 silver and was built in six years. At first, because he had a collection of "small Linglong crystal balls", he was named "small Linglong Mountain Hall", and in 1915 he was renamed "common paradise". In 1934, Tang Shaoyi publicly presented the total paradise to Tangjiacun villagers. He once wrote that "open the door and come to the guests, see the bamboo, why ask the owner" and hang in the garden. At that time, political and cultural celebrities such as Mei Lanfang, Wang Jingwei, Edgar Snow, Hu Hanmin, Sun Ke and others have visited the Communist Paradise. There are more than 500 ancient trees planted in the park, including Japanese black pine, French mahogany, Indian rubber scorpion and other domestic precious and rare varieties imported from abroad, known as the "Lingnan Centennial Botanical Garden". The park also retains the stargazing pavilion, pastoral villa, homing pigeon nest, stone archway, wisteria frame, lotus pond nine-inch dragon, panshi moth, Yipin straight lion, Zhanyuan Pavilion, Cuiso Pavilion and other landscapes. There are also monuments to the liberation of Wanshan Islands, the monuments to the heroes of anti-Japanese war, and the monuments to national defense construction, which were built in the 1950s to commemorate the wonders of the world's naval war. The park is located on the mountain and the sea, with beautiful scenery, covering an area of 350 mu, and 50 mu of cultural relics protection area. It is one of the ten major attractions in Zhuhai, known as "Eling Co-lease". The park is the first choice for students to seek knowledge, the elderly to travel, family leisure and fun, and art-fever friends.
