China Water Transport Museum is located beside a site of the former Water Transport Administration, Caoyun Square, Chuzhou District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. China Water Transport Museum is built for demonstrating the culture of water transport in Huai'an, a city of canals. Built on the site of the former Water Transport Administration, China Water Transport Museum is to demonstrate historical site and history of water transport to people. Water transport is the main artery of China’s economy during the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty and is the main form of transportation, material distribution and economic exchanges at the time. The former Water Transport Administration was located in Chuzhou District today.
