it's just over 300 steps up the stairs.
I visited on a tour. It is located after getting off the bus and climbing more than 300 steps. It is one of the five lighthouses that the Shogunate signed with the British minister in preparation for the opening of Hyogo in 1867. The heavy white granite lighthouse and the rotary lens imported from France are beautiful.

I participated in the Kanmon Strait cruising in 2018 and took the Sakaku Ferry to see this lighthouse from the top of the sea. The Kanmon Strait is also a difficult place for ships because there are many ships passing by and the tide flows quickly. It was well understood from the ship that this lighthouse was located as a guide for ships entering from the Setouchi area toward the Kanmon Strait.
