Taisho Glass Museum is a glass shop renovated from a stone warehouse. It not only displays and sells unique and beautiful glass handicrafts, but also participates in experience activities related to glass making. The Taisho period (1912-1926) was an era in the history of Japanese glass making that produced many outstanding works, producing many works that combined the beauty of Japan with the style of Western Art Nouveau. The Taisho Glass Museum has inherited the Japanese style glass products of the above-mentioned period. The main building of Taisho Glass House is a typical merchant building in the late Meiji period built in 1906. The outer wall is made of Sapporo soft stone, and the sleeve wall for fire prevention is installed, which looks retro and elegant. The glass products displayed and sold here are of various shapes and uses, which are worthy of appreciation. If you are interested, you can buy them as souvenirs. In the workshop adjacent to our store, you can experience production, such as the production of "Zu blowing glass" that is blown into shape without using a model, and the production of glass decorations.
