_GG***96This cathedral in the heart of Puerto Princesa is located right next to the Plaza Cuartel. They hold mass in both English and Filipino multiple times a day and is decorated with impressive wooden arches and paintings of the 12 apostles on the roof.
_GG***96Although most of the best things to do in Puerto Princesa are outside the main city, one of the best things to do at night is visiting the City Baywalk. This is by far the best thing to do in Puerto Princesa at night after visiting the other attractions during the day. There is nothing better than an evening stroll down the Puerto Princesa Baywalk. It stretches 2km (1.25 miles) along the waterfront between the Puerto Princesa Cultural Center and the U.S. Embassy. There is plenty to see and do at the Baywalk, with vendors and restaurants lining the paths, which makes this a really fun night out. The area is well lit up and is safe for tourist, perfect for taking a stroll along the open seaside. It’s a great place just to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere, there are bikes to rent and you will see the local kids having the time of their lives riding up and down. There is plenty of sitting areas and benches that you can sit down and absorb it all in. The Puerto Princesa City Baywalk opens at 1 pm to 11:00 pm daily. I would recommend visiting around 5 pm so you can get there as it turns from day into night. At night is when the Baywalk comes alive, there are vendors selling snacks and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
_We***77This was a beautiful and clean island, it is a shame that I visited it while raining season. I didn't stay longer because I was on a hopping island tour, but if you go to Puerto Princesa, I would definitely recommend you to go there.
_We***69Paradise with a lot of nice villages/ places to visit.Beaches are wow, mountains with a lot things to see like falls and caves, parks are wonderful.Very hospitable people and ofcoure a lot of fresh food.Seafood is very affordable price.
M38***13I still like the sea. No matter how I look at it, there are many islands in Hongda Bay, but it was a little past noon when we went. We can only choose one island to play, so we chose Shell Island. The coconuts on the island are very pure and very good. Cheap. We also saw the rainstorm on the opposite shore from the island. It was amazing. We stood under the sun and watched the heavy rain on the opposite shore. It was a spectacular sight!
Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan province in the Philippines. The island's main airport is here and it's a convenient hub for visiting other places in Palawan like El Nido and the underground river. But Puerto Princesa is a destination in its own right, with diverse attractions.
Getting There - Flights from Manila and elsewhere arrive at Puerto Princesa Airport, which is unusually close to the city centre. It's actually possible to walk into town from there, though a rickshaw or taxi is not expensive.
Attractions - Puerto Princesa is famous for its beautiful, imposing cathedral. There are also several nice beaches.
Hotels - This is a major tourist area and there are many hotels and guesthouses.
Food & Restaurants - A range of food is available, particularly along the main street through town and in Chinatown. Its also home to Palawan's first microbrewery, which has a wonderful outdoor bar. Definitely spend an evening chilling there.
Money - There are few places to exchange money except for American dollars, and bank machines don't accept all types of cards. Pawn shops may exchange other currencies but the rate is very unfavourable. If you have currency other than USD it's a good idea to change it at Manila Airport. The rate is better than anywhere on Palawan.
Although you'll probably come to Palawan for other places, especially El Nido, it's worth spending a few days at the beginning or end of your trip in Puerto Princesa.

Luli Island got its name because its sandbar appears and disappears (lulubog and lilitaw), depending on the tide. This is part of the Honda Bay Island hopping tour you can do from Puerto Princesa city. It has powdery cream-colored sand and clear emerald waters perfect for swimming and beach bumming. The island is small and you can explore it entirely with a ample time. The island have a complex for tourists for eating especially on lunchtime. During our tour, I have a great time relaxing in the hammocks provide. I had a wonderful swimming time there too. Visit Palawan and add this little paradise on your bucket list too.
Cowrie Island lays off the coast close to the growing city of Puerto Princesa. It is part of the famous Honda Bay coastline which is North of the city. Known for its crystal clear blue water and white sandy beaches, it is the perfect place to visit while staying in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Cowrie Island forms part of the famous Honda Island Hopping Tours that Palawan is known for. The island is small and wouldn't take your entire time to roam around. You can join in a tour or may hire a private boat to explore this island. Visit Palawan and add this little paradise on your bucket list too.
