Photos of Orchid Pavilion (Lanting)

Lanting is located at the foot of Lancang Mountain, about 13 kilometers southwest of Shaoxing Ancient City. It is famous because Wang Shuzhi and other literati gathered here, leaving behind the famous "Lanting Preface". Lanting is not a large place, but the scenery is very elegant. Goose Pond Monument, Lanting Monument, Qushui Liuyu and Yubei Pavilion are the main sights here. In addition, there are the Lanting Calligraphy Museum and Lanting Porcelain Art Museum in the northwest of the scenic area. On display are many works of calligraphy and various kinds of ink-stones.
