Xi'an Niutou Temple is located in Shaoling Temple southeast of Weiqu Town, Chang'an District, 12 kilometers south of Xi'an City. It is one of the eight major temples in Xichuan in the Tang Dynasty. It was built in Tang Zhenyuan 11 years (795), and was designated by the state as the first provincial key cultural relics protection unit in 1956.
