Room is spacious, clean and well maintained although the room and building looks old. Staff are friendly and helpful. Ski activities are available during winter seasons only. Need to pay for the activities. Scenery is beautiful and can play with the snow. Breakfast is good. Variety of food are available and the staff will replenish the food immediately. Church on the water by Tadao Ando Location: Tomamu Hokkaido Japan Time: Late Jan 2023 Was lucky that snow storm did not hit Hokkaido at last and enjoyed great weather the whole trip. Definitely worth waking in the wee hours to visit this attraction. It only operates for 3.5 hours. It is a must go. When time-lapsed, it’s like watching waterfall but with clouds ! #

Unkai Terrace

#thingstodo Much depend on luck if you able to see the cloud. It was really long queue even we arrived 5am at the Gondola. And you need to buy ticket so you will queue longer than the hotel guest. But it quite the services was quite fast.Personally it was hard to wake up at 4am to catch this 😂. Absolutely stunning view. Be sure to check the website before you go to make sure the weather is right for the clouds. Also be prepared to wait a long time to get on the gondola. If you want to see the sunrise from the top you must get there well before the first gondola starts and line up. Also don't buy the macaroons from the cafe, they are very small and not worth ¥700. The soda and ice cream was nice though.

As you get out from the cable car, you could grab a hot choc drink and roast mashmallows first. The landscape is breath taking on the terrace, seems that you are above the cloud.
