This was my second stay, but overall, it wasn't as good as the first time. When I checked in, the front desk told me that the king-size room I originally booked was full and they'd upgraded me to a round bed room. I figured there wouldn't be much difference, so I agreed. However, when I got to the room and tried to use the key card, it wouldn't open. I called the front desk, and they said the card probably hadn't been activated properly. I had to wait a few minutes outside the door, which was quite inconvenient. Also, in the round bed room, the power outlets near the headboard were too far away, making it really hard to charge my devices 😓. These issues were somewhat acceptable, but then around 9 AM the next morning, the landline in the room rang unexpectedly. I'm not sure if it was the front desk or someone else, but it really disrupted my sleep. The soundproofing wasn't great either; I kept hearing loud noises from the hallway. Next time I'm in Tongren, I'll definitely have to reconsider staying at this hotel.

Knowing that my in-laws were elderly and had difficulty traveling, she immediately drove to the high-speed rail station to pick them up and drop them off, providing meticulous and thoughtful service throughout. She treated them with the patience and care of her own elders, making the elderly couple feel instantly at ease upon arrival. After checking in, we discovered the kitchen lacked proper utensils, making cooking inconvenient. She repeatedly and warmly invited us to her home for meals, where a table was laden with steaming hot Guizhou-style home-cooked dishes, each bite a taste of home. The owner isn't a relative, but she's more than a family member. This sincerity and kindness were especially precious in an unfamiliar city, and they warmed our hearts. The owner was incredibly cheerful and generous, always enthusiastically recommending great attractions in Xingyi to help us avoid any pitfalls. She also absolutely adores animals! I brought my pet along without any worries or inconvenience; she was gentle and loving, exceptionally caring and tolerant of the little guy. We were truly lucky to have such a kind and compassionate pet owner. Being guests here was the greatest blessing of our trip. Gu Shang Ju not only boasts impeccable hospitality, but its facilities and attention to detail are also exceptional, completely exceeding our expectations. The entire house is equipped with smart technology. Just a simple call of ”Xiao Ai” (a smart speaker) upon entering allows you to easily manage everything in the house. No lifting a finger, no hassle—lazy people, the elderly, and children can all enjoy a very comfortable stay. The room design is warm and stylish, the decor exquisite and sophisticated, and the bedding is so soft and comfortable that you won't want to get up, sleeping soundly through the night. The attention to detail is evident throughout: the shower water is softened, with a gentle flow that leaves you feeling relaxed and comfortable after a bath; the in-room drinking fountain is a major highlight, providing sweet, warm drinking water with just the touch of a button—clean, hygienic, convenient, and quick, ensuring safe drinking water for the elderly and children at all times. The room itself is very new, yet completely odorless, clean, tidy, and well-ventilated, demonstrating meticulous daily cleaning and maintenance. Most thoughtfully, it also features an elevator, making it easy for the elderly or those with a lot of luggage to move around—perfect for family trips. The location is also superb, facilitating both travel and daily life! It's a ten-minute walk to the Malinghe Scenic Area, a 20-minute drive to the Wanfenglin 5A Scenic Area, and half an hour to the Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area. Whether you're visiting attractions or enjoying the scenery, everything is within easy reach, saving you time and effort. The surrounding amenities are surprisingly comprehensive: downstairs there's a farmers' market, pharmacy, supermarket, and countless restaurants and snack shops offering authentic flavors and a wide variety of choices. There are also two billiard halls, providing everything you need for leisure and entertainment. Staying here eliminates all the inconvenience of getting around or daily life, making for a truly immersive travel experience. The value for money is so high that I can't help but feel sorry for the owner: the prices are affordable, yet every detail—the decor, service, and everything else—is impeccable. She treats every guest with care, warmth, and sincerity. I often wonder, can such a genuine and dedicated woman really make money? In 2026, my New Year's journey began at Gu Shang Ju. Here, there was a comfortable living environment, meticulous care, and a rare sense of human warmth. This is my second time staying at Manhui Sujia Hotel, and I'm not disappointed. The hotel not only provides free coffee, juice, milk tea, facial masks and eye masks, but also free use of washing machines and dryers. The lounge area at the front desk is also very thoughtful. The hotel also has a homemade guide for reference. It is really friendly for foreign tourists. The sanitation is super clean and tidy, even the dead corners are cleaned very well. The service of the lady at the front desk is super good and super enthusiastic. After sending us to the room, she also introduced us how to use the facilities in the room. It's so thoughtful. I highly recommend it, highly recommend it, and I say it three times because it's important. I will bring my friends with me next time.

Since cars aren't allowed inside the ancient town, we had to park in an outside lot. The owner personally drove a motorized three-wheeler to pick us up and help transport our luggage. The river view at night is absolutely breathtaking, and sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze was wonderfully relaxing. This area within the ancient town is incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. What's more, it's super convenient – just a few steps downstairs and you're right in the bustling heart of town.

Excellent location adjacent (10 min walk) to bus stops that can get you to the HSR train station, and to the bus station where you can catch a bus to the big waterfall- Huangguoshu Waterfall. Hostel owner was willing to drive me to the big bridge for the bungee jump; for a fee (it's about a 2-hour drive- Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge. Place is otherwise in good walking-distance to the Confucius place, and the Lake, and the main market streets. Living room area is amazing with 20-foot floor to ceiling windows, spiral staircase, and street view. Hardwood floors. Responsive manager.

The room is big, the view is great, the balcony is the most comfortable, there is a stream outside the window, it is so pleasant to enjoy the view on the balcony at night, eat and drink, it is very close to the main street, but very quiet, quiet in the bustling, the children like it very much and don't want to leave, the proprietress is gentle and easy to talk to

A very satisfying stay! The hotel is conveniently located near the ancient town. The front desk lady thoughtfully selected a room for us that wasn't facing the street. It was quiet and provided a good night's sleep. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. It was the most spacious and comfortable room we've ever experienced in our many Hanting stays. The amenities were complete, the bedding was comfortable, and the hotel's ambiance was lovely. It was a great value, and parking was convenient. I highly recommend staying here. The front desk lady and the handsome guy even requested a complimentary breakfast for us. It was rich and delicious. The service lady was warm and attentive. We were very satisfied. From check-in to check-out, the experience was wonderful and deserves a five-star rating!

The hotel is located at the entrance to the road leading to the fanjingshan scenic area. It will take you around a 15mins walk or so to reach the tourist centre where you can purchase your tickets to enter the park. The hotel is mostly aurrounded by fellow hotels and restaurants and a tiny weeny convenience stall just beside the hotel. The plump lady receptionist might sound crude but she is extremely friendly and helpful. The reception area is sparse but the room is defintely okay.not many guests when i was staying there. It is worth a stay though there is nothing much to do around the area and if your aim is just to visit fanjingshan
