Melia Ho Tram Beach Resort

The environment is beautiful, the rooms are clean and hygienic, the facilities are complete, and the service is excellent! As first-time guests, we were upgraded to a better room type, which we were very satisfied with. A big thumbs up to the hotel! 👍🏻

This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed at in Vietnam, whether compared to hotels of the same star rating or even lower. From the front desk manager to the housekeeping staff, the service was completely unprofessional. Even while I was in the shower wearing only a bath towel, and without my permission or even knocking properly, a staff member walked right into the room! Out of the 5 hotels I stayed at during this trip to Vietnam, this is hands down the worst. Apart from the attractive exterior surroundings, I would never, ever stay here again, no matter what! I won't even go into the details about the moldy smell in the room, the bugs, and the failure to replenish toothpaste on time.

This resort hotel is located in Ho Tram, a coastal city about 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh City. It has a private beach and offers free bicycle rentals. They also operate a free shuttle bus service from the Sala area near District 2 in Ho Chi Minh.

I traveled with my family and the hotel was huge, so renting a bike made getting around very convenient. The hotel facilities are a bit old. As for the service, compared to other 5-star hotels, I felt that many aspects were lacking.

The quality and price were pretty much as expected, but some minor details could use improvement. For instance, the room's floor wasn't very clean; my feet got dirty quickly after walking barefoot. The morning yoga class was great! Also, it's worth noting that this place is quite far from Vung Tau (over an hour's drive), so it's best for a relaxing stay where you don't plan on leaving the hotel much. Getting to Vung Tau city center can be a bit of a hassle. It mainly attracts Vietnamese locals on holiday, along with some European, American, and Korean tourists. If you're looking to explore Vung Tau city, this location isn't convenient. Overall, it's a good spot for a laid-back, do-nothing vacation.

The environment is great, with a wonderful atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms, and a rich variety of food. The breakfast buffet is extensive and diverse; I recommend going early, as it fills up quickly. The infinity pool directly faces the beach and is absolutely stunning, truly refreshing! There's also a poolside bar where a martini really hits the spot! The rooms are decent, and it's understandable to find a few small insects given the natural surroundings – a minor point that doesn't detract from the overall experience. The spa is also quite good for a relaxing session. For dinner, we had Vietnamese cuisine. The portions were quite generous, almost too much to finish, with plenty of seafood options. The flavors were light and delicious. There's also animal feeding, which is very therapeutic. It was a bit sad to see the pigs looking a bit thin, and the 'pig dad' was hogging all the food from his 'wife and kids'!

I had a pleasant stay. The only downside is the remote location, but everything else was great. I was debating between the hotel room and the villa, but the villa was definitely the superior choice.

Stayed on Level 2. The room was spacious and clean. I really enjoyed the relaxed time by the pool, doing absolutely nothing. It was the perfect refresh. I want to go back again!
