Sifang Paotai Relic Site

A few minutes to climb the top of the small mountain, you can see this simple site, a few stones, not even a cannon, so simple feeling, but opened the wave of resistance, it is also a historical and cultural significance.

The quadrangle fort, formerly known as the Yongkang Fort. Because the fort is long and wide like a quadrangle, it is commonly known as the "quadrangle fort". According to Gu Yuzhang's "Humen Inland River Battery Map" (manuscript): The Sifang Battery is an important stronghold of Guangzhou City Defense, "49 feet and nine feet around the outer platform, one foot and seven feet high; 16 feet and eight feet around the Taizhongzi platform, two feet and one foot high.

The site of the Sifang Fort is located in the top of Longgangding, Yuexiu Mountain, Guangzhou. It was built in Shunzhi ten years (1653), and is one of the important relics of the Opium War. In 1999, the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government announced it as a cultural relics protection unit.

This is the commanding heights of Guangzhou, and thus has become an important stronghold of the city defense. Lines of majestic cannons stand here quietly, not angry. Therefore, it is named "Yongning Pavilion", and also known as the Quartet for its quadrilateral structure.

The site of the Quartet Battery is located in Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou. The Quartet Battery was built in Shunzhi ten years in the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the important relics of the Opium War. The Fort is square, so it is called the Quartet Battery.
