Interesting look at a poet’s life and influence

There is a 21 description audio guide for 100 yen in English as everything is in Japanese. It doesn’t cover everything but gives you a less detailed look at the exhibits. 25,000 poems and only lived t...

It is explained easily, but whether you can be interested in the content

    Original Text

About 3 minutes walk from Dogo Onsen Station. It is a 4-story cultural facility located in Dogo Park, and the museum is on the 2nd ~ 3rd floor. The admission fee is 400 yen. The exhibition room is not allowed to shoot except for Guda Buddha (restoration). One-quarter of the exhibition is the history of Dogo and Matsuyama, and the rest is the commentary and materials exhibition about Shiki Masaoka's life. Shiki Masaoka was born in Matsuyama, and a stone monument of "Shiki Masaoka's birth residence" stands near Matsuyama City Station. He is a haiku poet representing the Meiji period in the textbook, but he is famous for his shallow studies.

    There's a digital archive.

    Original Text

Located in the immediate vicinity of Dogo Onsen, Shiki Masaoka's life, which has repeatedly suffered setbacks with a huge collection of materials, is explained in an easy-to-understand manner. It was interesting to write letters with Soseki and to be involved in baseball. I think the digital archives released on the 40th anniversary of the opening are also well made.

    Literature Department の Museum

    Original Text

It is a literary museum located near Dogo Onsen Station. In order to get familiar with Matsuyama and literature, there is an exhibition not only about Shiki Masaoka, who was born here, but also about his best friend Soseki Natsume. I think Matsuyama is this person, so I highly recommend visiting.
