Unpopular gem in Nanjing 🪷The Grand Baoen Temple Heritage & Scenic Area is located on the south bank of Qinghai river near Zhonghua gate in Nanjing. The museum depicts the birth of buddhism as a religion in China & the history of the temple which stands as a giant structure made of porcelain. I’m not a big fan of museums, but this one was truly mind blowing with relics, carvings, paintings & and immersive art exhibition. There are few restaurants inside with a Costa coffee & ice cream vendors. At the exit, grab some artsy souvenirs from the massive gift shop. The Grand Baoen PagodaThis place was bigger and more magnificent than I expected. You can easily spend 1 to 2 hours inside viewing all the displays. To get there, I took a taxi from Xuanwu Lake, and it cost around 25 yuan. The entrance fee was 90 yuan, and it was worth it. They didn't only have displays but also different VR experiences. When you arrive, you need to go downstairs (staircase to the left) to buy tickets before going through the entrance.
