Wujingzi Former Residence

Wu Jingxuan's "new former residence" is the closest location to the historical Wu Jingxuan residence "Qinhuai Water Pavilion". Because it is located in Taoyedu construction, Wu Jingxuan's former residence has moved to the east gate of the south bank of the Qinhuai River. Wu Jingxuan Memorial Hall is a large courtyard. You can see a small courtyard that has been rebuilt. This is the rebuilt former residence of Wu Jingxuan. In front of the door is Wu Jingxuan's full-body statue. The courtyard restores Wu Jingxuan's life experience and reproduces the story of one by one of the population in "History of Rulin outside". In the middle of the former residence, there is a portrait of Wu Jingxuan hanging, and the western room uses old furniture such as desks, washbasin racks, shelves and beds to restore the scene of Wu Jingxuan's former residence bedroom. There are also exhibitions of literary utensils and porcelain. Outside the memorial there is a Wenmu Pavilion, a rockery pool, a fenced green bamboo, a small garden.

Nanjing Wu Jingxuan Memorial Hall ～～～ Wu Jingxuan, anhui native, spent the second half of his life in Nanjing until his death. During this period, he completed some classic works. Wu Jingxuan began writing "History of Rulin Foreign" at the age of 39. At that time, life was very poor. He relied on selling literature, pawn clothes and friends to maintain his life. In winter, there is no fire in the house to warm up, and it is cold and difficult to write a book at night. He invited some friends to run around the city to warm up by the moonlight, which means "warm feet". The memorial here is not big, there are also small bridges and flowing water, and there are many sculptures reflecting Wu Jingxuan's life and typical characters in his writings.

Passing at 8 pm, it turned out to be free to enter. I remember that this was a ticket seller before, and the door was locked until the evening. During the Confucius Temple Lighting Exhibition, the memorial hall outside the Confucius Temple is also brightly lit and beautiful. The exhibition hall is not big. Watch it carefully for 20 minutes. If you don’t watch it carefully, you can circle it in 10 minutes. As a memorial hall, there are too few historical materials and few introductions to the life of the characters.
