Renshou Tower

Renshou Pagoda is located in Kaiyuan Temple, and is known as the West Pagoda in the direction. It was built in 916 and still stands after thousands of years of wind and rain. It is not even more charming when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

Each layer of the tower is staggered with reliefs of 80 Buddhist figures, and 40 pictures of flowers and birds are carved at the waist of the Sumizu girdle.

The East Tower is the Renshou Tower, the West Tower is the Huguo Tower, and the Kaiyuan Temple Twin Towers are the tallest stone towers in China. After the test of the Quanzhou magnitude 8 earthquake and multiple typhoons, they still can't stand. The twin towers are beautifully reliefed.

Kaiyuan Temple is located on West Street of Licheng District. It is an important cultural relics and monuments along the southeast coast. The existing buildings are two generations of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The two towers of Kaiyuan Temple are famous in the world. It is an iconic building in Quanzhou City. The East Tower is48.24 meters high. The West Tower is also called Renshou Tower. The earliest is the seven-level wooden tower, called the Infinity Shou Tower. 900 years ago, the name Renshou Tower was given. This West Tower has been destroyed many times and rebuilt many times. It has been changed to a brick tower, high 44.06 meters. The two tallest stone towers in China still stand still, which is amazing. The western tower symbolizes the western bliss world, with the eight sides of the tower and the tower top and the tower as ten square pure land. Each side of the pure land is staggered from top to bottom with the angels, Luo Han, high monks, Bodhisattvas, children, and Liang Wudi, Zhaoming Prince, who contributed greatly to the development of Buddhism, as well as floating statues such as monkey walkers and dragon princes in mythological stories. The double towers are beautifully embossed and worth watching. The twin towers are now protected and cannot be climbed. Outside the temple is a good location for shooting the twin towers. Kaiyuan Temple does not require tickets. It is a must-check-in place to Quanzhou. There are many exquisite reliefs and stone carvings in the temple, which are worth enjoying. There are also attractions such as Zhongshan Street, West Street, Guanyue Temple, Qingjing Temple, Tianhou Palace, Chengtian Temple, Fuwen Temple and other places in Quanzhou. The two stone towers were built in the Song Dynasty. The quaint and godly sculptures on the towers and towers attracted the attention of visitors.
