I stayed for one night to go to the cave Christmas market.
The back part of the church was just renovated and it was beautiful and clean.
It is within walking distance from the station and from the city center.
Breakfast was simple but delicious, open and light at night I used the bar, but the staff were professional and comfortable.
I will use it if I have a chance to go again.
Beautiful exterior, but the interior feels very dated. The whole place would benefit greatly from some investment. Economy rooms resemble dorms: creaky floors (charming at first, but disruptive at night with people using the shared toilets), sagging mattresses, a broken bedside light, only one chair, no decorations, and no ceiling light. I realize we booked an economy room, but this felt extremely basic. On the first night, a party went on until 1:30 am. Guests should be informed in advance, and events shouldn’t run so late if the property also functions as accommodation. It’s also a shame that tours of the abbey come at an extra fee; this could easily be included for guests. Overall, the place feels more focused on making money than investing in guest experience. Lots of potential, but currently disappointing.
Not bad. The style is like “ The Student Hotel”, neat, modern and tidy. Walking distance to city center, cave and Thermae 2000.
I brought my own extra blanket as I m sensitive to coldness.
The Grand Hotel Monopole was recently opened in 2025, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Valkenburg. The hotel is only 300m from Valkenburg and 17km from Maastricht Aachen Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. This hotel is located near many of Valkenburg's attractions including Lourdesgrot, Grotten Van Valkenburg and LB Solutions. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Valkenburg hotel can make use of the parking facilities.
It was a large apartment with a great bed and kitchen
The living room was unfortunately not comfortable with 5 unsatisfactory old seats.
The apartment really wants a renovation.
The reception was very friendly, however.
Very clean, all rooms have direct access to the hot springs, very convenient, and it is very cost-effective to book a hotel to go to the hot springs. I will come again next time! There is a good restaurant nearby for eating ribs. It is called De Zoete Zoen. After taking a hot spring bath, you can walk a few steps here to eat.
Good hotel rooms. Nice bed to sleep, for 2 people it looked pretty. We had a spacious room.
Nice bath with the bathroom. Breakfast was extensive and a nice dinner. To the Centre 15 min walk. Animal garden 15 min walk. Mondo verde 20 min bike. Beautiful bike/loop environment. We stayed 4 days
Hotel Walram is a comfortable, modern and cozy hotel, housed in a typically marlstone building. The hotel is located at a quiet square on the banks of the small river “De Geul”. The lively town center is only 2 minutes away from the hotel.
You will also find a cozy bar, lobby and heated indoor swimming pool here.
The property is only 6.2 miles from Maastricht, Heerlen, Maastricht-Aachen airport and the MECC- Maastricht.
Great hotel near the motorway. Service, rooms and restaurant top. Very well dedicated for e-car drivers.

Very Good
I spend 3 nights there and can’t complain. The value for money was good the atmosphere was super nice and the overall looks and service was perfect. Would come here again!
We stayed two nights in a Duplex King Room and it was perfect for traveling with a baby. The duplex layout was super handy — we could relax downstairs while our baby slept upstairs. The room was clean, comfortable, and the furniture felt really nice. The location is great, within a 10-minute walk to the train station. Breakfast had a limited selection but the quality was good. One small thing to note if you’re traveling with a baby: there’s only one baby chair in the breakfast area. Before check-in, we requested a crib and it was confirmed at reception. Unfortunately, a single bed was placed in the room instead of a crib. However, the staff handled the situation very professionally. Once we informed the reception, someone came to replace it in less than five minutes. At checkout, the staff also noticed the issue and removed the crib charge, which we really appreciated. Overall Great stay
Had an excellent and spacious economy room in a beautiful building. Good shower facilities. The employees at the reception are courteous. Asked for a kettle and were immediately asked if we also wanted cups and tea bags. From here we were able to continue with the Dutch Mountain Trail, wonderfully rested.
My family and I were very satisfied during our stay. I love the aroma of shampoo and showergel from Rituals. With them I don’t need to bring my personal shampoo and shower gel anymore.
Great hotel, good distance to Designer outlet. Our staff had to provide coffee service in front of the Tommy Outlet Store. We stayed for 7 nights. Recommended.
Good stay near Valkenberg station, but tight for early conference goers The hotel is conveniently located near Valkenberg station. My room was nice and clean. I especially liked the leather chair – it's soft but still firm enough to sit and work for long periods, which was perfect for me. Breakfast was good, even though the variety was somewhat limited. However, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM. Since I had a conference at MECC (about a 14-minute walk plus a 20-minute train ride), I had to rush every morning to get there on time. If you have an early start, just be aware of that. Overall, a pleasant stay if your schedule allows a bit more flexibility in the morning.
The newly renovated monastery is a historic building and a special place. There is an entrance to the hotel from the underground parking garage Oda. There is a good restaurant with tasty food. There are no bottles of water in the room. According to the receptionist, the water from the tap is drinkable. However, we couldn't find any information about it in the room. There is scale in the kettle. Although this is a common occurrence in most hotels. There are also no toiletries. For a hotel of this category, this would be expected.
Room are spacious and located is merely 10mins from main city. However the hotel does not provide any bottled water in the room. You need to purchase from the kiosk at hotel lobby. Other than that all are good!!
