Regarding the facilities, I need to pay by my own self for the car parking service. They are charging RM 24 per day and I am staying for 4 days 3 nights. Do you think how much I need to pay for the car parking which they never stated that visitors or customers need to paying by ourselves. I hope that in the future, please stated very clearly that we need to paying by ourselves without inform us.

Lone Pine, Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Resort

We chose The Lone Pine Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I was worried that arriving too late on the first day would spoil the romantic vibe, but the hotel was incredibly accommodating. They proactively arranged for our cake and gifts to be delivered the next morning, allowing us to enjoy them leisurely – this thoughtful detail was a huge plus. As for the view, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a sea-view room. The endless blue ocean outside the window offered a superb vista. Even more surprising was that I had only booked breakfast for the first day because we had an early start on the second. Yet, the hotel upgraded our second day's breakfast for free – so incredibly considerate! The food was the major highlight of this trip: I highly recommend the fried chicken at the breakfast buffet; it's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, usually gone before 11 AM. After 10 AM, there's also an outdoor Welcome Drink by the pool, and the adjacent Barbecue area offers amazing fried kway teow and roti canai. The overall dining atmosphere was very chill. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes' walk to late-night snack stalls and the beach torch performance. Finally, I must praise the nighttime experience – many might mind the sound of the waves, but I absolutely love falling asleep to them; it's incredibly therapeutic and relaxing. It's basically a place where you can just unwind for a couple of days 🎶. One small suggestion: The hotel could perhaps optimize the color scheme of its lighting. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves a slow pace and a seaside getaway! 🌊🍗

PARKROYAL Penang Resort

Our last hotel in Penang was in Batu Ferringhi. The hotel isn't very large, and the room facilities are a bit dated, but the experience was excellent! First, the resort layout is well-designed; despite its size, the areas are cleverly arranged, creating beautiful views at every turn. There are several swimming pools, including two for children with slides and more. Most importantly, there are staff members consistently present at the slides and by the pools to supervise and maintain order, ensuring children can play safely and securely! Breakfast was also great; although there was a queue during peak hours, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety. The beach bar also had good food, and it was lovely to relax there with the lights on at night. The best part is that the hotel has direct access to the beach and the sea! And the path from the hotel to the sea looks absolutely beautiful when lit up at night. We booked a two-story family room with a lovely balcony. The staff service was also excellent. I'm giving it five stars.

Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang

This hotel, located on Batu Ferringhi Beach in northern Penang Island, holds the distinction of being Malaysia's first five-star resort, inaugurated by the Prime Minister himself, and has long been renowned. It's astonishing how well the facilities are maintained for a hotel over fifty years old, a testament to its high management standards. The staff are all very enthusiastic and accommodating, almost always fulfilling requests. It's important to distinguish between the two parts of the hotel: the eight-story Garden Wing to the east, which mostly features standard rooms with single balconies, and the five-story Rasa Wing to the west, primarily offering suites with double balconies. The check-in desks for both sections are about a hundred meters apart. Additionally, about 200 meters west of the Rasa Wing is another Shangri-La resort: the four-star Golden Sands. These three hotels share an exclusive stretch of beach to the north, but each has its own swimming pool. Hotel buggies shuttle guests between the properties, and most towel counters by the pools can be used by simply stating your room number. Water sports like parasailing and jet skiing on the beach are completely shared. When using Grab to book a car, pay close attention to specifying the correct lobby for pickup, otherwise, both parties might end up waiting for each other.

Hotel Sentral Seaview @ Beachfront

The hotel environment is really nice, facing the sea, and you can enjoy the view while having breakfast downstairs. However, the facilities themselves are quite old. The hot water for showering at night was unstable, and the room lighting was a bit dim. For breakfast, they offer Western, Chinese, and Indian options, but the variety is quite limited. The night market downstairs is great, and there's a Lotus (supermarket/shopping center) about 500 meters away. Overall, dining options in the immediate vicinity are sparse. There's a bus stop about 300 meters away where you can catch the 101 bus, which takes about 40 minutes to reach the city center.

I had read many reviews beforehand saying the hotel facilities were old and the service was lacking. However, my actual stay was quite pleasant. First, regarding the service, the front desk staff were very enthusiastic during my check-in. They took down my phone number and called me when my room was ready. Bellhops also helped take my large luggage to the room. The room was cleaned twice daily, and the staff even folded towels into various cute shapes, which was a definite plus. Now for the facilities, if you're vacationing with kids in Penang and don't want the hassle of going to Kota Kinabalu, I think this hotel is the perfect choice. While the rooms might be a bit dated, they are generally acceptable. Plus, the hotel has a huge playground where kids can play all day (30 RM for guests, parents accompanying are free). Additionally, there's a night market and restaurants within walking distance, making it very convenient. Every morning, you can also spot adorable wild monkeys and lizards at the hotel. As for downsides, I think the only one is that the hotel's beach is too small and the sand is quite coarse.

Had a great experience at Bayview Beach Resort in Penang! The standard suite we booked was incredibly spacious. It's only about a five to six-minute walk to the beach, and the hotel features two outdoor swimming pools with plenty of lounge chairs and provided towels. There are tons of food options nearby, including street food stalls in the evenings. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it super convenient for a vacation. The only minor downside is that the hotel facilities are a bit dated, but overall, it was a fantastic stay, perfect for a relaxing beach getaway.

Check in was quick and easy. Buffet breakfast has huge selection of food, lots of people waiting on the tables and cleaning up quickly. One recommendation: there were some flies in the yogurt bowl. Might be better to have individually packaged yogurt available instead Pool was clean, chairs have some bird droppings but that’s normal for outside. Get there early to get seats as it fills up fast. The bridge to beach is old and a little steep but it’s safer than crossing heavy traffic Rooms are clean, a little mold in the bathroom. Was surprised there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Would help with the steam!

I had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Mercure Penang Beach is an excellent beachfront getaway that perfectly combines comfort, convenience, and breathtaking ocean views. Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise over the Andaman Sea creates a truly relaxing experience. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, while the infinity pool offers a wonderful place to unwind. The breakfast selection is generous, featuring both local and international dishes. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile.
