Hotels With Breakfast in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan

I was so impressed by this hotel's service of allowing guests to go out and having their rooms cleaned while they were out! I would definitely like to go back again!

This hotel is super convenient, right at the Hachijo East Exit of Kintetsu Kyoto Station – just take the escalator down and you're there. There's an indoor shopping street right outside, making it really easy to grab a bite or do some shopping. Plus, a large AEON mall is just a short walk from the station. The hotel service is excellent, and they even offer complimentary afternoon tea and coffee in the restaurant.

This is a 4-star hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, and they offer a free shuttle bus to and from the station. The shuttle picks up on the left side when you exit the *Karasuma Central Exit* (条口) of Kyoto Station. There isn't much to explore around the hotel itself, and very few restaurants. If you plan on taking the train or eating out, it's best to head to Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is large and beautiful, a tourist attraction in itself, and even has a big Isetan department store! The breakfast restaurant on the 14th floor is a revolving restaurant with panoramic views of Kyoto. However, the Western set breakfast is quite mediocre. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor offers both Japanese and Western options, but the value for money isn't great. In terms of transportation, besides taking the train from Kyoto Station, you can also catch a bus nearby. It's a bit far from the livelier areas of Sanjo and Shijo, making it suitable for guests who prefer a quiet stay and want to be close to Kyoto Station.

I saw this hotel had a 4.7 rating on XC, but after staying there for two nights with my group, experiencing three different room types, I honestly don't feel it lives up to that score. It was definitely clean, and pretty close to the high-speed train station, which was convenient. The breakfast was decent, and the bathhouse was clean, but it felt a bit lacking in terms of amenities and features.

The room is big and it has all the amenities eg. TV, Big bed, jacuzzi, well equipped toilet, etc. All the toiletries are beyond our needs. Movies are free and breakfast are really cheap. The only drawback is the nearest metro station is 1 km away. But the room is value for money. Highly recommended.

There are many shops, restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores within walking distance, which was extremely helpful during the stay. Public transportation is also easily accessible, saving time when travelling to different attractions. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room provided enough space to relax after a long day. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping everything tidy. Basic amenities were provided, and everything worked well throughout the stay. Overall, the combination of a great location and a comfortable room made this hotel a good choice. It is suitable for both short and long stays, especially for travellers who value convenience and accessibility. I would consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a hotel in a good location with many nearby amenities.

This is my second time staying at Sotetsu, and the facilities are very professional and well-integrated. The room was spotlessly clean, and I made sure to keep it that way. The hotel is conveniently located near Shijo Station, with a convenience store right next door. There's also Sanita Seimen nearby, and their tsukemen (dipping noodles) are absolutely delicious! The service was very professional, and the breakfast spread was fantastic.

staff can talk in both Thai , English and Japanese. The room fee is affordable cheap and service are very very good !!! Room is cleaned best for solo traveler . You don't need to worry about prices and quality since this was veryvery Good hotel compare to the cheap prices. Recommend for solo traveler with limit budget and University student in japan who going on trip to kyoto !

The biggest drawback was the size of the room for the price we paid. We could not even open our suitcases on the floor. There is no water in your room, you have to go downstairs to have a drink of water. Do not have breakfast there, it's too expensive (if you cannot eat everything) . There is a supermarket (LIFE) a few meters away with a very nice bakery. The hotel do however have all the toiletries available next to reception counter. Also coffee in the mornings from 6.30am with water and juice. A sauna and a hot pool, but you have to be in your *************. Not suitable for everyone. I enjoyed our bathroom the most, as the shower was amazing.

This was probably the best hotel I stayed at in Japan. It felt incredibly clean — guests must remove their shoes at the entrance and store them in the shoe cabinets, so everyone walks around in socks. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes and even matcha latte. The onsen was outstanding: there were at least four pools, so it never felt crowded, plenty of shower cubicles, and a steam room with a TV. After each onsen session we could enjoy free ice cream or ice lollies and a bowl of ramen. The rooms blend modern design with traditional tatami style. The beds were firm and very comfortable, and although our room was on the smaller side (typical for Japan), it had everything we needed. We were also treated to POLA hair and body products in the bathroom and the onsen. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return next time I’m in town.
