5-Star Hotels in Bavaria, Germany

This hotel really knows how to please lazy people! Breakfast is open until 1 PM on Sundays and 12 PM on weekdays, perfectly matching a naturally awakening pace. You can start eating at 10:30 AM and leisurely eat until 11 AM, skipping lunch altogether. The remaining time is perfect for strolling around the neighborhood, swinging on the swings – so relaxing! The complimentary sunscreen is a must-have! Very useful. However, I have to mention their dinner restaurant; the steak was absolutely awful, only the soup was decent.

The reception was indifferent and unfriendly. When booking, I specified the need for latex pillows and an extra luggage rack in the special requests section, but neither was provided upon check-in. The concierge's service was better. At check-out, I requested the frontdesk to help with my luggage, but no one came to assist. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also poorly attended to; the service was lukewarm and indifferent, perhaps due to the restaurant's high demand. The food quality was mediocre and did not live up to the website's claim of being the top restaurant in Munich. The Deluxe Room we booked online was advertised as 35-38 square meters, but the actual room was much smaller than expected. In short, aside from the location, everything else fell short of expectations, earning only a mediocre rating. I would likely not stay there again or recommend it to friends; perhaps my expectations were too high, leading to greater disappointment.

My stay at the HYPERION Hotel München was truly excellent. While not in the bustling city center, its public transport links are incredibly convenient. Just a short walk brings you to S-Bahn, U-Bahn, or tram stops, making travel to the Old Town, Marienplatz, and the Central Station smooth and fast. Being a bit removed from the city's hustle and bustle actually provided a quiet, open environment and fantastic sleep quality – a real oasis of calm. The breakfast was a particular highlight and truly impressive, both in variety and quality. From freshly baked pastries and high-quality cold cuts and cheeses to made-to-order hot dishes and fresh fruit juices, the selection was vast, and the flavors and freshness of ingredients were impeccable. Each morning started perfectly with a delicious and substantial meal. Even more commendable was the hotel's attentive and thoughtful service. From the professional and warm welcome at the front desk, with patient assistance for travel directions, to the meticulous cleaning by housekeeping and luggage assistance, the entire team consistently demonstrated efficient and warm German hospitality. With its convenient transport, outstanding dining, and comforting service, this hotel is an excellent choice for visiting Munich, offering both great value for money and superb comfort.

We arrived at 6 PM on the first day. We had two rooms, and two people were checking us in. The person checking in the double room told me it was actually a single room, and the single room was checked in for two people. I don't think that's right. That evening, we washed our clothes and put them on the rack, and the amount of dust we wiped off was like the first picture. The next morning, they didn't clear away our breakfast until after 3 PM, and didn't even clean up the items on the floor. This hotel doesn't even have its own parking lot, which made us search for ages. We asked later and found out they don't have one. They did help us bring our luggage upstairs. The front desk staff had a bad attitude.

What stood out most to me was the professionalism and warmth of the staff. From check-in to dining arrangements and everyday requests, every interaction reflected thoughtful and attentive service. The breakfast and on-site dining options were also excellent, with high-quality offerings that significantly enhanced my overall stay experience.

The hotel room is very comfortable. The bedsheets smell hygiene and good. I love the bathroom with beautiful bathtub 🛀. They provide very comfortable bathrobes by default. Their service is excellent. Can ask for extra still water and standard stuff without charging. I would definitely wanna book the same hotel if I am in Munich. Location is just next to the main interchange train station with direct ride to Munich Airport.

A hotel of top class!!!! Excellent always friendly service. The room is best. Breakfast is very delicious and an excellent choice. The dinner is excellent in the Mediterranean restaurant. We celebrate our wedding day and look forward to next year.

We visited Hotel Bayerischer Hof for a Valentine's Day Getaway 14-15 Feb. My wife received a lovely long stem rose upon arrival, and we were double-upgraded to a fourth-floor suite with a Lakeview. The Front Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The servers in the Cafe, Restaurant and Breakfast Room were prompt and efficient, the food was excellent and the Breakfast Buffet large and generous! I can recommend this Hotel for couples, Families, or Business Travellers. I have taught at a Hospitality School in Zurich for over 15 years, and am a professional business traveller with thousands of overnight stays and 10s of thousands of dining out experiences! 

We bought two train tickets to Zugspitze from the hotel. Since the hotel wasn't far from the Hausberg train station, about a ten-minute walk, we leisurely strolled along, taking photos. However, when we arrived at the station, we realized one of the tickets was missing. We figured it must have fallen out when we took our phone from one of our three bags. So, we retraced our steps, searching all the way back to the hotel, but couldn't find it. We explained the situation to the front desk attendant and bought a new ticket before heading out again. The next day, when we were checking out, the front desk attendant told us she had good news. Apparently, after we left yesterday, she called the train station to cancel the lost ticket, but they initially refused. She then followed up with an email, and this time they agreed to cancel it. It wasn't about the money; it was the feeling of being away from home and knowing someone genuinely cared and went out of their way to find a solution for us without even being asked. It gave us such a sense of security and genuine care. Besides its great location, underground parking, clean rooms, and very friendly restaurant staff, this hotel is definitely somewhere we'd return to. If you're still deciding which hotel to book, this one is absolutely the right choice. It's a shame I forgot to ask for the front desk attendant's name. A big thank you again!

Booked an executive king room with executive lounge access. It's a common issue with older European five-star hotels – the facilities are outdated. Even though I booked an executive room (they gave me a room on the 17th floor, which isn't an executive floor, so that's a bit odd), there was a sour smell as soon as I entered. This is my fifth hotel in Europe so far. While it's in the airport, it's clean and comfortable enough. Newer brands often offer more comfort than old five-star hotels. I guess I can't just rely on brand names when traveling in Europe anymore. The executive lounge was good with nice views, but I wasn't happy about the sour smell in the room.
