"The hotel is clean enough and we received a nice welcome on arrival. However the room service was ‘hit and miss’ with non replacement of creamer and tea bags and a rather confusing charge of $7 for water left in the room which was placed on top of a notice urging us to hydrate drink more with the blessing of the hotel! The charge was retracted on challenge which was nice. The breakfast arrangement is absolutely carnage with at least a 20 min wait to be seated followed by a 60 min wait to receive your food. The hotel does not prioritise its guests so you are at constant challenge of ‘walk-in’ guests taking precedent to be served. We found this unacceptable. We did challenge the excessive wait time but to be told the kitchen was totally backed up and we were not the only ones! Pool terrace was nice and a welcoming space and staff did their best but appear to be chronically understaffed which lets the hotel down badly. We would not stay again u less this was resolved."
