The exterior is pretty grand for first impression. Security Guard is super friendly and helpful. Do keep this up.
We arrived after 10pm and we have to checked in with the help of a security guard as the receptionist closes at 10pm, but all good.
Location wise, a drive/ grab is necessary for all foodies.
The infinity pool was amazing, overlooking the polo ground.
Suppose to have a cafe and kopitiam at the top floor, but since this condo project is still new, it is still not operating yet. Maybe my next visit.
Interior of the room is spacious, there's NETFLIX, YOUTUBE and etc. Fridge, microwave and kitchen utilities, Hair dryer, iron.
Floor not so clean though - rather dusty. we booked a unit with 2 rooms (1 room with 2 twin bed and 1 room with Q bed). No private bathroom in the bedroom though, only one bathroom.
The Bathroom drain hole was clogged during our stay. Therefore, the draining was a bit slow, and it causes mini flood inside the bathroom.
Things to improve (in my opinion, that is):
1. to add an extra latch at the entrance door for extra safety, I will not have a peaceful sleep if I am staying alone though.
2. Only have one bedside table. would be nice to have another bedside table so I don't have to place my things on the floor.
3. Dressing table inside the main room not to be placed facing the bed for feng shui purpose (just saying)
Overall, I had a nice stay here and the bed is so comfortable. I had a good rest though.
Had a pleasant stay at Weil Hotel Ipoh with my family. The location was excellent and very convenient, especially for getting around and finding food nearby. The service was good overall, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The room and hotel were generally clean, although there is still a little room for improvement in cleanliness. The amenities were good and made the stay comfortable. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would consider staying here again.
The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Since it is a new building, some floors are still under renovation.
This was my first experience having a blackout while showering at night. I tried to contact the agency, but there were no staff available, so the only solution offered was a room change. We had to spend extra time moving all our belongings to another floor.
One suggestion is to consider waiving the deposit requirement, or for the agent to contact guests one day before check-in to reconfirm the booking and deposit payment. I had already submitted my deposit before check-in, but the agency may have missed my message. I only received the entry QR code after being stopped and questioned by the security guard, which made the experience stressful.
Location easy to lookout..
totally new place.. but not too difficult to find
From check in to parking, please straight proceed to parking then access back door for Check in.
Booked two rooms with 1 bathroom.
Toilet and shower are separated.
The small rooms really quite small and can be stuffy. Beds are rather single bed, not super single.
Another main room still oki with queen size. But window facing garden. soundproof kinda bad. Big room facing garden - children runnning and screaming, small room near lift can hear the lift 🛗 sound. While toilet flushing and door can be disturbing for light sleeper.
Disappointed with the ants (last two pics) come on way to the toilet bowl.
Downside - no bedroom shoes
The property rather new and near by has famous insta worth cafe :)
Location is great as walking distance to Parkson Mall and Restaurants around the row of shops opps and beside the hotel. Breakfast selection not bad with Asean and Western choices. Parking lane a bit difficult esp at the corner areas. Free parking at the basement and to tip TnGo or debit or credit Card before driving out of the hotel. Nice view of the misty mountain side in the early morning. Room is not sound proof so can hear if baby crying or kids screaming or making loud noises next to your room. Overall a good place to stay.
The hotel has a beautiful view, convenient location, and a clean, fresh lobby. The shower pressure is strong, the room is spacious, and the service is excellent. Most importantly, it's dust-free, gets plenty of sunlight, and the mattress is soft.
Ipoh Excelsior Hotel
1. The location is excellent, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. For its prime location, it offers great value for money.
2. The hotel staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful with their service.
3. Breakfast was decent, though most of the food was spicy. If you don't eat spicy food, your options will be limited, and there was only one type of vegetable. A special touch was the ice cream served at breakfast, which I'm sure kids would love.
4. The bed felt quite old and wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom, in particular, had many 'traps' on the floor – you could easily slip if not careful.
5. There were no small hand towels in the bathroom. After washing my hands, I had to either use a bath towel or toilet paper, which ended up leaving paper bits all over my hands, forcing me to re-wash them.
6. The hotel didn't even have a basic first-aid kit. I accidentally cut my hand and bled, and when I asked staff for a plaster, they surprisingly told me they didn't have any!
I forgot to take photos but trust me, I think this property is new, so it is very clean, everything looked new, not crowded at all, check in process also very simple, no deposit needed. Room is very cozy and comfortable.
You may get confused upon arrival but the security guards are helpful and able to communicate in English.
I enjoy staying here very much!
Stayed at Travelodge Ipoh and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was a bit small, but still cozy enough for a good sleep.
The facilities were good too — the gym and swimming pool are free to use and quite standard for a comfortable stay. One of the best parts was the breakfast, with so many types of food and choices available.
Another plus point is the free parking provided for hotel guests, which made everything more convenient. Overall, a good stay and worth considering when visiting Ipoh!
overall a great stay.. good location near to eateries, there was a super long ramadan bazaar right in front of the hotel during my stay which made the stay a little more exciting..

ZZatie rosliHad such a wonderful anniversary getaway at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut ❤️The resort was peaceful, beautiful and perfect for a relaxing escape from busy life. Loved the stunning sea view, clean room, delicious food and the warm hospitality from the staff throughout our stay.
The pool was amazing and our child really enjoyed the Kid’s Club too 🥰 It definitely made the trip more family-friendly and enjoyable for parents with kids.
Just a small suggestion — it would be even better if the Kid’s Club could include a mini playground or small slide for children to play 😊
Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing stay. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so special ✨ Definitely looking forward to coming again!
AAnonymous UserOverall, the stay was disappointing due to several maintenance and cleanliness issues:
Master Bedroom: The ceiling fan was not working, and there were ants and mosquitoes present.
Room 2: The mirror was broken.
Room 3: No hangers were provided.
General: The hair dryer was damaged and unusable.
Gym Facilities: The gym is very run-down, and many machines are not working.
Toiletries & Linen: Only hair and body shampoo were provided. Towels were old and worn out, and the bedroom sheets were not very clean.
On a positive note, the infinity pool is nice and well-maintained, which we did enjoy.
However, the issues above significantly affected our comfort and overall experience. Proper maintenance, cleanliness, and better provision of basic amenities are strongly needed for future guests.
GGuest UserThis is a guesthouse located in a residential area. The check-in and check-out procedures were a bit troublesome. The only upside is its proximity to the water park.
AAnonymous UserI researched a lot of hotels in Ipoh. Most hotels are spread out around the Ipoh “downtown”.
If you’re arriving on a bus from KL, the bus terminal Amanjaya is 9km away. 20 mins on the local bus will take you to Terminal Kidd and it’s a 15 mins walk to M Boutique. I wouldn’t suggest this option if you have a lot of suitcases as the walk is on the main roads with cars and truck zipping past.
Location is surrounded by industrial and car dealerships, but once arrived you’re surprised! They live up to their name - Boutique! They have been in that location for 13 years.
Staff are friendly and helpful! Room (single room with no windows) was clean and comfortable and provided the amenities after a long day on the bus. And the hotel - SMELLED nice. Like a high end hotel.
It was a nice treat if you’re a solo traveler looking for comfort on a budget. I tried to extend an extra night, however Trip were only showing double and twin rooms - out of my budget for a solo traveler.
Asking at reception if the single room was available, they checked and I paid directly to hotel for a 2nd night. Your loss Trip!
Hotel amenities were great. Hot shower, WiFi and air conditioning working.
It’s a 10-15 min walk to the old city. When I arrived around 4 PM, a lot of things are already closed and quiet.
Walking around in the dark back to the hotel was a little uneasy, but you can easily just arrange a car to GRAB.
Highly recommended!
GGuest UserOur first visit to the resort. A wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. A quiet place to relax and enjoy without noisy children running around. Not too many guest which is very good. Don't feel crowded. Service is good. Buggy service is fast response. Best is the private pool and hotspring water.
Fine dinning is wonderful inside a cave. Breakfast is good. Freshly cooked only when you order and is unlimited. Only issue is location which you need to get transport if going outside. Sunway is building a big shopping mall just outside but only ready in 2028. You also get complimentary entry to Sunworld theme park if you join and follow the trekking from resort to back of Sunworld. A short walk through the forest. Will definitely come back again.

AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful and comfortable, and all my requests were attended to promptly. The staff were friendly, professional, and very accommodating. The food was good and satisfying. My favorite part was the lobby — it smells amazing the moment you step inside 😍 Highly recommended for a pleasant and relaxing stay
SSteve ZissouHad a lovely long weekend getaway and stayed in the sea villas. The facilities were amazing with fresh water pools, tennis courts, gym and several restaurants with an excellent food selection. Our favourite was fisherman's cove which had more of a western cuisine. Overall we had a really pleasant stay. However having stayed at other similar resorts at a similar price it felt like it was lacking. I know how can I complain about staying in paradise? The area for improvement would be: an additional hose shower head instead of just the overhead one. Cleanliness of the library area. Greeting cold towels and drinks at the main lobby. Selection of shampoos, soaps and moisturisers. Eco-friendly toothbrush and energy controller with key card. Aircon and lights had to be turned off manually if we left the room. I would definitely go again but it would be nice if they took on more eco friendly initiatives.
