The facility was lackluster at best. It used to be great. Eco friendly was claimed for not doing daily room service. Hypocritical. There were paper plates, plastic serve where, and poorly working HVAC units. The organization was simply looking to cut down on costs. Similarly, I’ve seen better breakfasts at hotels that cost half as much. Vents in the bathrooms were nonfunctional. The window could only be closed from the outside. I look forward to posting this on yelp unless you make amends.
The room was not completely ready. There was no sofa, a large room in the living room was free. There were no towels, toilet paper, or the small products they normally give to the room. I had to ask the whole thing at the reception.
This was an ok place. Very nice staff. But the room was iffy. The toilet was about 24inches high…..too low for seniors. Beds were pretty nice. The TV was the worst ever….virtually no channels at all. No sports, no networks, no nothing. I would not choose this again just on the TV.
The best hotel I've stayed in this trip. The front desk was friendly and the room was comfortable. Parking is available across the street until 3 a.m. the next day. It's charged but safe. There's a large seating area in the lobby with a microwave and water.
Located in the suburbs of Hartford, you can enjoy the American rural scenery along the way. The roadside is full of exquisite residential buildings, and the lawns are neatly trimmed, which is very beautiful. The hotel room is very spacious, the breakfast is also very good, and the service attitude is very friendly and polite. The wooden building structure has a slightly poor sound insulation. The footsteps of the guests on the upper floor can affect the lower floor. Overall, I am very satisfied. Tips, the breakfast is rich, the oatmeal porridge is suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the bagel with butter is very liked.
My room was on the ground floor. The room above my room had inhabitants that were pounding on their floor(my ceiling), for hours from about 10pm through 2am. I called the front desk several times to no avail. In the morning there was no hot water for my shower. Breakfast was a joke!
I booked the room and paid the full amount. I don’t know why the lady asked me to pay more than 200 US dollars. I told Ctrip that it was already being processed, and promised that they would refund my money if the hotel didn’t handle it well. Everything else is fine.
A retro-inspired hotel that looks old and has a feeling of atmosphere. The front desk at check-in was very humorous, and let me take a photo of him. Simple American breakfast, free parking, self-service laundry, cheap, passing by for one night, still very satisfied!

GGuest UserMy mate and I stayed here for three days because of a conference at CCSU. It was the closest hotel to the university (<15min walk), so I would rate that as a 5/5 (all other hotels were like 40 minutes by bus). The room should not be expected to be super clean. The mattress, kitchen, tables, etc., were clean, but there were stains on the walls. There are no kitchenware, cups, or anything, so you'll have to bring your own or purchase at a grocery store. Also, they only provide 1 really small shampoo bottle (not even a bottle, it's actually a lipstick size) for the entire stay so bring your own or buy at a grocery store. Laundry and Dryer costs $3.25 each load.
We forgot about our laundry and picked them up like 2 hrs after the completion, and found our clothes just sitting on a table. But I guess thats on us...
There is a machine to purchase detergent and softener for about $1 (I think). The closest grocery store is about a 5 min walk, and the store is pretty big, so if you ever need anything, you can just go there to get it.
The walls are very thin between rooms, I could hear what people next door were talking, especially at night. Kids screaming and shouting in the hallway sometimes but I got used to it so that wasn't a huge deal.
Towels are provided only once, but you can bring them to the front every day to get a clean one.
The check-out process is easy, just leave the room key inside the room and leave.
Overall if you are not living here for a really long time this place is sufficient. You get fridge, TV, beds, shower, sink, etc., so all the things I mentioned above won't be a huge problem.
GGuest UserA positive surprise: the room had a couch corner, coffee machine and microwave as well as the actual bedroom. This is rare in this price range. Although everything was clean, the hotel also has room for improvement (peeling wallpaper and stained sofa). The reception staff were very quick and friendly!
GGuest UserI didn't realize there was no surface lots and I'd have to pay $25/day for parking. I might have missed that in the description so that's not really an issue. We were given a room on the top floor, in practically the farthest corner away from the elevator which was quiet, but far away from the rest of my daughter's teammates who were staying on lower floors. We dropped our stuff and went right to the pool. There were only 4 chairs and no towels left so we had to go searching for them and most of our stuff got wet sitting on the floor so that was frustrating. The signs on each floor say ”ice and vending” but the floors I checked had ice machines only and I had to resort to paying $4.00 for a can of orange soda at the bar for my daughter. The store in the hotel was closed, though I'm not sure if it would've been cheaper. After swimming and hanging out in the spacious lobby, we returned to our room to realize it wasn't very clean but it was time for my daughter to shower and go to bed since she had a gymnastics meet at 7:45 am. I took pictures of the hair tie in the sink, the bug on the bathroom floor, the hair on the vanity and floor, the stains on the bed skirt, etc. Kind of disappointed bc I usually stay at Marriott hotels for work and never have these issues. The coffee shop in the lobby was quick the next morning though which was good since we had to get up so early.
GGuest UserThis hotel had a big open lobby with a bar and plenty of areas to use laptops or to gather in small groups.
Convenient parking in a garage was located below the hotel. The elevators were extremely efficient. We were on the 8th floor and never waited. The hotel staff is hard to reach by phone but when we arrived they happily let us check into our room a little early. The beds are very comfortable and very high! The tv remote is odd and we had to call to figure out how to use it. Early morning coffee urns were late to arrive. The hotel is very close to I-95 which was helpful.

GGuest UserThe location is a bit remote, but it doesn't make much difference if you're driving. The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are relatively old, and the breakfast is relatively simple. Overall, it's a good experience.
TTanveer Ahmed A RazakStayed just for night but loved it. We stayed in King room and it was big. The indoor pool was great thing too. Free parking outside the hotel and within hotel grounds was excellent. And just a 10-15 min drive to Mystic and Groton. A great stay for the price.
ZZaiyilushang8855The hotel is excellent. The room's decor and layout are fantastic. In the evenings, there's a live band performing in the lobby. And you absolutely *must* try their freshly-made desserts and snacks – they're superb!
GGuest UserThe price is great! They are fully staffed and courtesy. They have a pool and the lobby is very clean. However, in all honesty, there needs to be a day of DEEP CLEANING. Spiderwebs and dusty walls and stair case. Stained window curtains and bed sheets. Bathroom vents revealed other room arguing very clearly. And the stained towels I really did not like! Luckily I keep face clothes & towels with me. And even pillows and blankets to throw on top of theirs. Oh and I really disliked the “hot” breakfast thru offer. Only thing hot is one waffle maker for entire hotel. No eggs. Only protein was protein peanut butter bars & that’s not good protein and some ppl allergic to nuts. No dairy free options if I recall for the cereal. And only orange juice no other juice alternatives. Just very basic but overall I would give 3 1/2 stars bc it could be worse. I am more concerned more so with the cleanliness of the everywhere outside the lobby, sheets & towels can be replaced.
GGuest UserVisited the area to attend a graduation ceremony at New Haven. This I was told is a brand new hotel so everything was top of the line - both facilities and services… Their breakfast is generous with a reasonable variety of morning meals .. my fav was the waffle and the fresh fruits. The room was very clean spacious and quiet. Staff are friendly and very professional..Because I needed to go to the city center on a daily bases, I was offered free rides via their accommodating clean shuttle van driven by very respectful and highly professional drivers. I stayed 6 nights and very much enjoyed my stay .. Toward the end of my stay I discovered that there are nice venues to explore directly next or near the hotel. i.e. a cinema complex, Olive Garden restaurant, Barnes and Nobles bookstore, Target, Chic Fillet and many more. Will certainly try it again if I ever come back to New Haven. Thanks to all of the Team, I sure did have a great experience!
