Huocheng Homestays

This place is so great!!! We really recommend it! The environment is clean and beautiful and the host is a sweet angel! Also they allow foreign guests which is harder to find in Xinjiang. The highlight of Huocheng was being at this homestay. Some of the rooms are further away from the main house but they offer to take you there and back. We ended up getting a free upgrade also because they had an empty room. It’s a relaxing place with a lovely host. 💗

The room was very good. We, a family of five, booked two double-bed rooms. The boss was very considerate and upgraded us to a twin-bed room, which has more space and a lot of hot water. The open-air bar on the second floor is cozy and comfortable. I can stay with my husband and children until 12 o'clock in the evening. There is a large field of lavender in the back, where I can not only appreciate it, but also smell the fragrance of the flowers while drinking coffee. Breakfast is very convenient. There is a lunch box with bread, sausages, salad and a bottle of milk. I didn’t finish the milk, so I added coffee directly.

The location of the hotel is very good, it is very convenient to go to Daxigou or go to the expressway. There are supermarkets and restaurants downstairs. There is free parking and many tour groups stay. The family room is very large, clean and comfortable. The toilet has a lot of space, but because there is no separation of dry and wet, I am a little worried about the elderly slipping. The shower water flow is a bit small, and there may be more residents, and the water does not feel too hot when taking a bath.

The breakfast is very average, there is basically no meat, somehow there are boiled eggs to eat, it is a buffet style. The sound insulation of the room is extremely poor. The hotel has parking, free of charge. Because it is free, there are many nearby cars parked during the day, which makes it crowded. The room I chose is cheaper, so the room space is relatively small, so I can’t add a bed to my eyes. So either one adult takes a child or two adults are fine. If it is a family of three sleeping in a big bed, it may be a little bit crowded. The hotel’s bathroom is not separated from wet and dry, so the paper slippers will be completely drenched when you go to the bathroom after taking a shower. The free mineral water presented by the hotel took a long time and the bottles were deformed, so I didn't drink it. Go directly to the small shop nearby to buy water to drink. The location of the hotel is okay, not too far from the commercial street where you can eat.

The first time I lived in the yurt, it felt very novel. The yurt was probably located on the mountainside with spring water left by a small waterfall on the top of the mountain. Sleeping comfortably and not cold at night... The surrounding environment is very beautiful. You can watch the sunset by walking up the stairs on the nearby hills (because we I can’t get up and didn’t look at it). Going up the county road can see the Guozigou Bridge from several angles. Going down on both sides of the mountain pine trees give people a very good sense. Although there is no hotel comfortable, it is better than the original ecology and the wilderness! Very leisurely!

The room is quiet, the bedding is comfortable, and the most cost-effective hotel for Xinjiang travel, parking is also convenient, there is a dedicated parking lot behind the hotel, free parking is available in front of the hotel, hot water is also comfortable, as soon as it opens, the important thing is The guy at the front desk was super enthusiastic. We were almost nine o'clock in the evening when we arrived at the store. After going to Sailimu Lake, I couldn't find a hotel. I happened to see this high-rated B&B on Ctrip. Although there are other B&Bs nearby, it was still attracted by the decoration style and some public facilities. After staying in, there is no wrong choice, the experience is great. I have stayed in the best homestays in so many cities. There are movie rooms, library rooms, rooftop chat tents, and large dining tables, which are great for sitting down and communicating with fellow travellers. A free breakfast is provided the next morning, with Chinese and Western options available. A bowl of hot beef noodles really wakes up the stomach in the morning. In the end, the charging cable in our car broke down. The lady boss gave us a charging cable directly. It is really better for people and hearts. The boss even washed the car for us before leaving, and also gave us a large bag of snacks, bread and fruit. . The homestay was run by a pair of Hui grandparents, and the old couple are very kind! The room is very clean! The lamb in the grassland is really different! One kilogram of meat costs 168 yuan, 1.5 catties of lamb’s hind legs are put on a skewer of barbecue, and half a catty of lamb chops are stewed in soup. Served with cabbage and gluten cold dishes, the two of them had to support the wall. 😬 Wake up early the next day and go to the hillside behind the hotel to see the morning glow all over the sky! Perfect! Definitely good value for money!
