The room is good and bed is comfy. I don't like the toilet, it's quite small indeed. The room also have mosquitoes, quite annoying. Service wise is not very helpful. I'm asking for a small change for the grab as most of the grab drivers in Batam don't have small change, a BIG hotel just shun you off and say don't have ... Just a small change if breaking IDR50,000 also don't have! Breakfast is terrible thou, nothing to fancy about ... I stayed for 4 days 3 nights, but I can say every morning breakfast is a disaster

Very clean and tidy. Enjoyed lifestyle away from city hustle and bustle. Surprised, no mosquitos surrounded by trees. Swimming pool was very clean. It will be convenient to have vending machine softdrinks at reception lobby. No bathway to reach the jetty.

The highlight was definitely the view—you can see the ferry terminal right from the window—and the clever mirror design in the room was a wonderful touch that really elevated the space. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, proactively helping with my luggage and opening car doors every time. However The pillow quality was average—it was quite high and firm rather than soft and plush, and leaning against it for a while made my back feel sweaty. The biggest bug for me, though, was the elevator system; there are no clear indicator lights or sound chimes when the elevator arrives, so I ended up missing it quite a few times. Despite these quirks, the view and service made it a very enjoyable stay. I’d also prefer bottled drinking water over the large filtered water dispenser provided, as washing glasses each time was a bit of a hassle.

We stayed for 3 nights. Some mixed feelings about the hotel, but happy overall. Positives: - Very friendly and helpful staff - Lovely location - Free pick up from the ferry terminal - We were upgraded to two sea-view rooms (only paid for one upgrade and one free) because our family and children needed two conjoined rooms. - Requested a late check out and given one extra hour. - Rooms were good and had all the basic amenities - Great pool - Good rates Some negatives - Breakfast was kinda disappointing. On our first morning, there wasn’t even a buffet spread. Instead we were given menus without many options to order from. I guess they didn’t have enough guests to warrant preparing a breakfast buffet. But the buffets returned for the next days. Again, basic options without too many choices. Expected a bit more, but can’t complain too much for the price. - Water from the bathroom often leaked out into the bathroom, leaving the entire floor often wet. - Lots of mice running around loudly in the attic. Overall, 4.5/5 experience. Would recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Resort Batam from check-in until check-out. Everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. The hotel was spotless, well-maintained, and provided a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in the Two-Bedroom Suite, which was incredibly spacious and perfect for families or groups. The generous living space made our stay even more comfortable. The only small suggestion for improvement would be to consider adding a sink and a microwave to the unit, which would make it even more convenient for longer stays. 😅 The facilities are truly superb. The swimming pools are large and perfect for both adults and children. The gym is well-equipped, and the spa offers a great place to unwind and recharge. Families will especially appreciate the kids’ game area and leisure room, which provide plenty of entertainment options. Overall, the combination of excellent service, cleanliness, spacious accommodation, and outstanding facilities made my stay memorable. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Resort Batam to families, couples, and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. I will definitely return in the future.

Had a pleasant stay at this cozy apartment. Though there were a minor hiccup, overall the experience was enjoyable thanks to the warm and accommodating host. First time to Batam, hotel location is next to the mall which you may get what you need from mall and shops nearby. The hotel breakfast had variations choice and good. Overall the experience staying in this hotel was great. There is a swimming pool at Level 2 and and massage center inside hotel with reasonable price. If you are coming over follow those youtuber and online recommendations, you are a bit remote and need to go by car. This place may be good for business traveller but for backpacker or light traveller, you may choose to stay near the attractions where you can reach within walking distance.

I have been to this place many times since 2020, if I’m not mistaken. It's an amazing location, akin to visiting old friends in an unfamiliar setting, with excellent service from the hospitality staff. They understand your needs and largely provide what you desire. I felt as though I was being pampered by a butler in a premium hotel. Marriott hotels offer a 24-hour gym, sauna/steam room, and room service. The rooms are beautifully designed, featuring comfortable beds and luxury pillows that are specially designed for relaxation. The leisure activities within the hotel area are excellent, and the Harbour Bay ferry exit is just a 10-minute walk to the right, where you can discover some very affordable local food restaurants, such as Bay City Seafood. We particularly enjoyed the steamed black grouper and steamed silver pomfret. Just let the waitress know if you prefer less sauce to reduce the saltiness. For personal care, there is a salon near the Swiss-Bel Hotel. I paid less than S$20, including tips, for an hour of foot reflexology or a body massage. For breakfast, there is a variety of cooked foods, ice cream, yogurt, desserts, breads, cakes, salads, and more. We enjoyed the carrot and orange juice, and at the hotel, you can order any juice or drink you prefer. Next time I visit, I plan to order smoothies for my breakfast. Thank goodness I will definitely be returning to the Batam Marriott Harbour Bay to take a break from my routine and indulge myself!

A special mention goes to the chef preparing the fried noodles—they were outstanding, and I would happily return just to enjoy that dish again. The guest room was comfortable, but the furniture showed noticeable signs of wear and would benefit from refurbishment or replacement. The swimming pool access felt a little unusual, as the entrance is located next to the restaurant, while the changing rooms are quite a distance away, making it less convenient for guests. Had a wonderful weekend stay at Radisson during my birthday. It's actually a golf resort. Location near to the newly opened K-Square mall. Within Sukajadi area with popular eateries like Anchor cafe, Madley cafe and Pagi Sore Indonesian restaurant. My room was clean and spacious with open concept bathroom and come with balcony facing the golf coourse. Hotel arranged some birthday decor as my partner informed them in advance, which is nice. Facilities includes a large swimming pool with a view of the golf course, gym, spa and restaurant. However, the second swimming pool and some amenities at the 10th floor wasn't in operations. Breakfast was awesome with lots of food variety. The manual juicer machine to make orange juice was something to remember. The hotel interior decorations have Bali design inspiration. Overall a highly recommneded hotel to stay when in Batam.

An Amazing Wellness Retreat — We Can’t Wait to Return! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Nirup Island. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They helped with our luggage, arranged our speedboat transfers seamlessly, and even provided buggy rides around the island — including from our yoga classes to the padel courts. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Housekeeping was impeccable, with daily turndown service and beautifully maintained rooms that were always spotless and comfortable. Breakfast offered a great variety of choices, and one of the highlights was the incredible wellness programme. Every morning we could start the day with yoga, Pilates, and other wellness activities, making this feel like a true wellness retreat rather than just a resort stay. The padel court is simply breathtaking, surrounded by endless sea views, and the beach is equally beautiful. We visited during the low season, so the island felt peaceful, exclusive, and uncrowded — exactly what we were looking for. Watching the sunset here was magical, and every corner of the island felt relaxing and rejuvenating. We loved our experience so much that we’ll definitely be bringing our family and friends on our next visit. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Initially we faced quite a bad experience, we have to push thru to get our request being entertained as this was our 2nd times stayed here within 2 weeks, but we able to approach the duty manager, Mr Jimmy … he was our saviour. They even decorated one of our rooms w simple birthday celebrations and slices of cake 🎂👍👏 Thanks a lot Jimmy for the well done job … keep it up … Btw, so happened that Aston Chefs had a collaboration in Batam, the place we were staying, the breakfast on that day was marvelous …

MYGuest UserInitially we faced quite a bad experience, we have to push thru to get our request being entertained as this was our 2nd times stayed here within 2 weeks, but we able to approach the duty manager, Mr Jimmy … he was our saviour. They even decorated one of our rooms w simple birthday celebrations and slices of cake 🎂👍👏 Thanks a lot Jimmy for the well done job … keep it up … Btw, so happened that Aston Chefs had a collaboration in Batam, the place we were staying, the breakfast on that day was marvelous …

My intention here is to provide a 100% fact based, detailed and balanced assessment of the 360° experience of this property. But before we jump in to the details, let me first say that *for the discounted VIP member price* paid on this occasion, we are 100% satisfied with our stay at MAXONE Batam (with one notable exception, see below). A big thank you to the management and team (especially front desk and concierge) for an *almost* perfect 👌🏼 stay. First visited MAXONE Batam six months ago when newly opened. A very positive experience, but my initial impressions were that overall facilities available were quite limited given the ambitious price point. This second stay confirmed my initial observations, after 6 months of operation. Quality of welcome is very good, front desk and concierge extremely professional. Well done 👏🏼. Main public areas and rooms are immaculately clean and well maintained. If you want 100% immaculately clean rooms, this is, however, probably your best choice today in Batam. Linens are top quality, fresh and clean. Abundant and carefully selected pillows. Very large king bed. If your objective is a good sleep, this is pretty much guaranteed. However, we have the following observations that indicate the typical prices asked for the standard Deluxe King rooms are ambitious and too high for what you get: - Breakfast not included - No pool or gym - Deluxe King rooms very narrow and claustrophobic for two people with luggage and shopping (but the bathrooms are a good size) - It's clear from the layout that whoever did the interior design of the Deluxe King rooms is not accustomed to, and does not have appropriate experience of, designing for compact room dimensions - much could be learned from the efficient layout of similarly compact (19m2) rooms in eg Denmark, Sweden, about the optimal use of space. - Unacceptable WiFi connectivity, whether you are a business or leisure traveller. Latency (often over 1000ms) in particular is problematic. Over 100 tests conducted on 5 different devices over 48 hours at different times of day and at all locations at the property. This is clearly a conscious cost based decision by the hotel operator and not a technical limitation, certainly not in a newly constructed property. This is particularly an issue for local business travellers such as myself because 4G/5G cellular connectivity with XL, Telkomsel etc at this location at Jln Sriwijaya / Kampung Pelita is extremely poor and always has been. *Summary and conclusions* We've stayed at almost all 3*, 4* and 5* properties in the Riau Islands over the past 10 years. This includes the two most recent 5* star properties and several newly refurbished 4* star properties in Kota Batam. As a ”user chooser” business owner who travels and works remotely 300+ days a year, I don't have a set ”budget” or ”price range” for hotels and apartments I select. I'm interested in the services and facilities received in relation to the actual price paid (after my usual VIP / frequent traveller discounts). On this occasion, my VIP member prices mean I paid very competitive prices for this stay. As a result I'm 100% satisfied with my stay at MAXONE Batam, with the exception of the WiFi provision which remains unacceptable in such a property given the kind of target customers the property would like to attract as guests.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The location was very convenient and made it easy to get around the area. The hotel also provided complimentary breakfast, which was quite good with a wide variety of choices available each morning. However, the room was a bit small and cleanliness could be improved, as it did not feel as clean as expected. Despite these drawbacks, the good location and decent breakfast selection helped make the stay enjoyable.

The hotel location is easy accessible to many places. The service staff are friendly and helpful. However, the hotel room is quite bad though it is cheap. Please think again when price are cheap. The room is humid as the aircon is installed in wrong direction blowing toward the entrance door. I stayed for 3 days 2 nights only and I need to call for service for both days of my stay. It's either the shower door not functioning well or toilet bowl can't flush smoothly as it get clogged easily. The walkway to the room have no aircon at ALL. Breakfast not much variety as well. Unpleasant experience overall.
