You will be within walking distance of beautiful down town Belfast as well as both bridges and the infamous Rail Trail. Highly desirable listing for a couple to have a romantic retreat alone or a family and/or friends to get together to spend quality time. This home comfortably sleeps 10 however additional options are available if need be and you’re flexible (i.e. air mattress, sleeping bag, additional couch). This home is currently listed as a 5 bedroom, 2 full bath, full eat in kitchen with a spacious living room and large custom built open sun deck. The outdoor deck is equip with a propane grill and outdoor patio table with 6 chairs and adjustable umbrella in the center for shade options. Everything is on the same floor which is the main floor of this home. The basement is locked and being utilized for storage. 2 bedrooms are located on one side of the main floor home and the kitchen and living room are on the other. The main entrance is in the front of the house which leads into the foyer and living room. There is also a back entrance which takes you into the kitchen which is perfect if carrying in groceries or wanting to allow the kids or the dogs out back to play while being able to see them via the window above the sink or from the glass paned windows on the door while inside the kitchen. The master bedroom has 2 front facing windows with ocean and bridge views while the 2nd bedroom has 2 windows that provide a nice cross breeze and provide a view of the outdoor grape trellis and beautifully landscaped yard. The view from this bedroom allows you to stare out at the many different trees and beautiful tiger lily bushes that were planted and meticulously cared for decades before the house was even built. The lilies are a nostalgic piece of this property and when in bloom you can almost smell them from inside the open window. The 2nd floor offers an additional 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms each have a queen size bed, with fresh linens and comfy pillows. A private pool on the property is just what is needed for cooling off in the summertime. Private ~yet in-town ~ you can walk to anything in this lovely quaint city. Within a few blocks, you can dine at several wonderful cafes / bakeries and restaurants, grab an ice cream, shop, visit galleries, take in a movie at the local theatre, or watch the action at the town dock. A town park offers free tennis courts, wonderful playground, a pool, and a beach.Waterfront activities: Fishing poles, lifejackets, kayaks on site & ready to go! Very safe boating since the house is located on the inner harbor. Take a boat up into the river or downtown for a refreshment. We have a resident pair of Loons which you can watch as they catch their meals. Eagles and Ospray soar above, competing for fish. Even an occasional seal will pop up. Please remember most of Maine is wilderness with wild life all around. There are insects like mosquitoes and spiders. There are frogs, toads and turtles that call the land their home. Occasionally spiders, mice and bats make their way into the house. We do not intentionally host them so please don’t freak out if you see one. They are harmless creatures. and more.: Picnic on the dock, fields or the gazeebo. Take a nap in the bunkhouse overlooking the water. Check out the pear, apple and peach trees located on the property. Identify the bird calls. There is something for everyone.The Belfast walking/biking trail is located right at the edge of the property. The path takes you north, away from town along the water or south along the water into Belfast center. The convenience of your own path along the water taking you into town is unique. Also located about 100 yards to the north of the main house is also a 1 bedroom plus loft bed, 1.5 bath cottage overlooking the water on the north end of Riverbend. If you have extra company or your family needs more space, this is the place for you. You will never forget your stay at Riverbend Estate. Designed to optimize the views from the living room, primary bedroom, and porch! The sunrises here are truly spectacular, and there is no better place to watch the fireworks display during the Celtic Festival! This location is the perfect spot to explore the heart of Belfast, being just a short walk to the restaurants, shops, and Harbor-Walk.The spaceThe driveway for Harbor View Cottage is located on the right side of the duplex. The main entrance is around to the front of the unit and can be accessed with a smart lock on the front door. Once inside guests are greeted by an open concept living room and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything guests need to create meals during their stay.There are two bedrooms in the cottage - the first is located off of the living room and the second is located in the back. The back bedroom also contains the washer and dryer which is tucked in a closet. There is also a full bathroom centrally located in the middle of the unit.Harbor View Cottage is perfect for those looking for one level living. There are no stairs on the property or inside the space!Please note: this is one side of a duplex and only one wall is shared. The shared wall is 12 inches thick and well insulated, therefore sound will not be an issue. Additionally, the outside space is separated with a divider for ultimate privacy. Beautiful raw wood walls and ceiling, finished wood floors, and all-new appliances and fixtures create a contemporary industrial interior design. A spiral staircase leads to two small bedrooms — one queen and one full — as well as a bathroom with full-body shower system. Two heat pumps with A/C keep you comfortable in any weather. The space is ideal for two to four people, but a full-size futon in the living room provides space for extra guests.The downstairs is an open living room and kitchen space with a futon couch, chair, and dining table. The 44-inch TV has Hulu Live and additional apps for guests to log into. The upstairs has two small bedrooms and a full bathroom.
