Incredible views up and down the beach and mere steps to the ocean and pool.ACCOMMODATIONS: Our lovely condo is completely renovated and state of the art. We are on the second floor of Dover House with a wrap-around balcony overlooking the promenade, dunes and a wide stretch of beach and ocean.You will find sparkling blue tile floors, modern open kitchen with stone countertops, bathrooms fit with tile, glass and granite, and furnishings of fresh colors to create a clean and relaxing atmosphere. Sleeps 8-10 with a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and two full/twin bunk beds in the back bedroom making this a great unit for a big family or large group. The living room and all 3 bedrooms have a flat screen Smart HD TVs and free WIFI throughout. There is a full size washer and dryer.In the kitchen, you will find everything you need, including regular and Keurig coffee makers. We supply paper goods also.Your parking permit gives an assigned parking space under the building. A second permit gives guest parking in the lot. Bike racks are located under the building so you can bring your bike or rent one in town.BEACH/OCEAN: Owners and guests have exclusive access to a half mile of private guarded beach. From 201 Dover, you will be a few steps away from either beach or pool. Our lifeguards are award winning professionals. Sample the best fudge around and enjoy beach treats to your heart's content. Maureen's Ice Cream Parlor is one of our favorites. Also we post restaurant recommendations in the condo. If you like to shop, there are lots of nice shops. The boardwalk bandstand has entertainment all summer. The independent bookstore in town has great mysteries and lots of local authors. It is a true family atmosphere.LOCAL ADVENTURES: For those who like to explore, Delaware Sea Shore State Park is 5 minutes to the south. If you keep south another 15 minutes, you will find Ocean City MD with a full array of vacation activities, attractions, dining and night life. If you head north about 25 minutes, you will find Rehoboth Beach which has a flavor of its own. This spacious contemporary penthouse condo with a vaulted ceiling in the living room is bright, clean, sunny and cheerful with gorgeous ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and the large private balcony. You can relax while overlooking the promenade, the dunes and the wide stretch of beach and ocean. While drinking our coffee in the morning, we watch the playful dolphins below as the sun rises over the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. This year we saw a hump back whale in the ocean right in front of our building.We now have two newly renovated bathrooms. We have made many new purchases which include two sofas in the living room, one is a queen sleeper. The bed in the master bedroom is a Wyndham Simmons king-size pillow-top mattress. For the dining room we purchased a contemporary table with 8 chairs, measuring 72” with the leaf in, enough for 8 people to eat meals together if they wish. We also purchased a new range/oven with an above-range microwave, both in stainless steel. We have also purchased contemporary shutters for the primary bedroom windows which almost cover the entire east wall. When opened there is no obstruction of the magnificent ocean views. The ocean sounds will lull you to sleep at night.We have porcelain tile flooring throughout the living room, dining room, kitchen, both bathrooms and the hallway. Carpets cover the bedroom floors. We recently renovated the living room, dining room and kitchen. We knocked out a few walls in the kitchen to provide a more open feel with greater views of the ocean, beach and dunes. We are replacing the floors with porcelain tile, while keeping the carpets in the bedrooms. We are painting and putting up new cabinets and quartz countertops in the kitchen. We also have replaced the balcony doors and floor to ceiling windows.The living room and both bedrooms all have flat screen wall-mounted TVs. There is a DVD player in the living room and free WIFI throughout. This condo comes with a covered reserved parking space under the building and one additional parking space is available in the lot if more than 2 guest passes are purchased. Bike racks are located under the building so you can bring your bike or rent one in town.This condo sleeps 8 in beds; there is a king bed in the primary bedroom and two queens in the second bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. We have blackout window treatments in the living room.We love the wide stretch of private beach for Sea Colony guests only. There are lifeguards on the beach in the summer . This is a 7th floor condo in the oceanfront portion of the award winning Sea Colony resort (Farragut House). There are fabulous views from your balcony overlooking the surf, sand, pool, and promenade.In the condo you are high above it all, ensconced in a well-furnished bungalow with a forever view of the ocean. The kitchen was completely renovated in March 2014. The remodel included new granite counters, new cabinets, a new washer/dryer, new microwave, and new refrigerator. The master bedroom furniture was replaced in 2021 and the living room furniture was replaced in October 2022. This luxury beach house in Bethany Beach sleeps up to 26 people for a family reunion or group retreat. House is comfortable for disabled persons as it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground level and a chair lift to get up the stairs to the four upper-level bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a patio on the right side of the house with three dining tables and large Weber gas grills. The Delaware Seashore State Park Beach with a restaurant and full facilities is a 10 minute drive north of the house where you can park to go on the beach. The house also has the owner's two oceanfront parking permits.The Delaware Seashore State Park Beach facility, has parking, restaurants, bar, fast food grill, showers, restrooms, gift shop, equipment rentals, and lifeguards. Nature hiking and biking trails that lead to the bay with lovely bay views are within a 20-minute walk or 5-min bike ride and also parking is available at the Fresh Pond Trailhead if people prefer to drive. We have a small beach on the Salt Pond in our neighborhood where people can launch and store kayaks. You can also reserve kayaking tours on the bay through Coastal Kayaks.Every room in the house has a TV with a Roku player, except for the kitchen. TV streaming includes sling live TV news, weather, and sports, Prime video, AMC, Netflix, Acorn TV (British TV), Britbox, MAX, HBO, MAX live sports, Paramount+, The Criterion Channel (classic movies), Hallmark Movies Now, The Roku Channel, and others. There are many DVD players in the house and a DVD library is located in the den. Off-street parking is available in front driveway for 7 vehicles. More parking is available 3 blocks from house at Salt Pond Club House.The Salt Pond clubhouse is available to rent for large events. There is an outdoor grill restaurant, Birdies Snack Bar, three blocks from the house that serves a large meal selection, wine, beer, margaritas, mixed drinks, and nonalcoholic drinks at low prices. The tennis courts, exercise fitness room, shuffleboard, basketball court, pickle ball court, playground, practice golf driving range, practice putting green, 18-hole golf course, and extra parking at clubhouse are a 3-block walk from the house.The club house has an indoor heated pool and jacuzzi used in colder weather, and outdoor pool and baby pool. Children under the age of 16 can use the pool for free. We keep 8 electronic pool passes at the house for the use of the adult renters. The great room has a 60" TV screen. We have two internet services to the house with internet extenders throughout the house - Mediacom and Verizon - so that there is always internet service to the house should one of those go down. Great room TV has a sound bar and also there is a stereo player, books, board games, 3 couches, a love seat, and two armchairs. Two of the couches are queen sleeper couches.On the other side of the great room is the dining area with three tables that seat 14 people for a formal dinner. There is another large table in the kitchen that seats 8 people. Kitchen has refrigerator, 2 coffee makers, Keurig coffee maker, toasters, blender, mixers, microwave oven, stove, dishwasher, and other items needed for making large meals. There is an extra refrigerator in the laundry room off the kitchen.Included are many sets of cookware, silverware, serving bowls, crystal wine glasses, glasses, plastic glasses, and porcelain dishes for serving formal meals. There are four large extra shelves in the kitchen for storage of renters' food.The house is 3,000 sq feet and decorated in a nautical theme with wicker and solid wood furniture made in North Carolina. The beds are very comfortable with memory foam mattresses and have decorative quilts. The house has new central air-conditioning units for each level, so remains very cool in the summertime. There are 3 steps to get into the house and a stairlift available for disabled persons to ride to the upper level. The front porch has four rocking chairs and there are many more outdoor tables and chairs to the right side of the house. Laundry room has washer/dryer and extra refrigerator. For the use of renters, the house is stocked with laundry detergent, fabric softener, household cleaning products, trash bags, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, Kleenex, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, and spices. All king-sized beds can be pulled apart to make 2 twin beds. The beds are very comfortable and most have memory foam toppers.
