Disappointing, I participated in the National AGM of the largest association in the world and the hotel ran out of one of the most popular tap beer and white wine, just one hour after the guests checked-in/arrived.
The hotel advertised 1 hour happy hour every day but the Op Manager staff the bar with only one bartender. Guests lining up for half hour to get the happy hour deal, to be told, ”sorry, the 'happy hour' is finished.
The AGM room lighting set up absolutely poor, hard to see and hear anyone, the committee having to re-organise the room.
If it wasn't for the every day cleaning the room and the breakfast service, I would have ranked the hotel less than 3 stars, at @ 279/night.
I have stayed at other properties in Canberra, such as Kurajong Hotel, for less money but for exceptional experience.FromCAD 153

Hotel is in a very good city location with access to light rail, coaches, restaurants and shopping mall within walking distance. Free breakie for kids too which was good and breakfast offer itself was acceptable.
Apart from that you'd have to turn a blind eye to the state of the room itself (need to lower your expectations by a lot) , run down bathrooms ( needs major renovation), dusty bedsides and snack bar table, very crowded pool and lack of hotel car spaces.FromCAD 140

Very good hotel. Everything is perfect, by the notable exception of the breakfast.
You have to make the line, to wait to be seated like it's a nightclub. Arriving at the restaurant, you will wait 20 minutes to have your morning coffee.
Another issue with the breakfast is that it is super expensive. I paid 22 AUD (more than 12 euros) for a plate with one waffle... Also paid a super high price for a plate of fruits...

I booked a two-bedroom apartment. The room is large and spacious. The view of the hall is mountain view, very beautiful. Once inside the hall is the bar, the lights are dim, the music is delicious, the western food is there, the hotel is very big, the bar is just a few, there is also a movie theater. The decorations are all wood strips, I can't understand them, I feel special art. Both bedrooms have no windows and are just a bathroom. There are many kitchen utensils and many tableware. Breakfast is the kind of order. Very close to the city center, a quiet hotel. More than 2,000 a night, the front desk will not be Chinese, it is a hotel for foreigners. The overall experience was good. I ordered a two-bedroom apartment, which is a two-bedroom shared toilet. Please write it here for everyone who wants to order. The environment is nice and quiet, the rooms are relatively clean and tidy, the daily necessities provided are relatively complete, and the price is relatively high. The only drawback was that there was a problem with the water heater in the room at that time. It was ok. We were upgraded to a deluxe which was a bit bigger apparently. The room was very small which would make a standard room tiny you wouldn't want to stay more than one night. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom, & the window didn't open no hair dryer in the room I found out later there shared??? The reception thoughtfully offered me an upgrade from a deluxe queen room to a deluxe king room.
To be blunt, I'm not sure where the 'deluxe' came into it. And I was glad not to have booked a standard room.
The room was basic beyond description, apart from a king bed. No bedside lamp, opened milk in the fridge, doors hanging off their hinges, bathroom still had hair on the floor, not even a tea spoon.

Kinda old worldish but not too bad.Biggest pain was the fire alarm which went off on a freezing winter morning about 7:30 am.. This by all accounts is a regular occurrence and not rectified; set off apparently by some guy smoking; 20 minutes of ******** announcements before we found out from another traveler that it was a false alarm.
Management kinda smiked sheepishlyand did bugger all.
Bathroom in our room was tiny and toiletries had to be collected from the front desk. 🙄
Had to lug suitcases up and downnstairs and at the front entrance. Kinda lame.
Guy working the dining room though on the breakfast shift was a bit of a diamond. After an ‘odd’ comment he myst have noticed I was unimpressed with the fire alarm ******** and went out of his way. There was a serious shortage of parking spaces, so I ended up parking on the street. The hygiene level was pretty good, and the location was not very convenient, but the space was very large. The living room and dining room were also really large, and a washing machine and dryer were provided. FromCAD 148

We stayed over Christmas and it was lovely for the kids. They were welcomed with gift packs full of mini-games, not just the normal colouring papers and pencils. They also have a Christmas workshop set up way before Christmas. The room was very nicely decorated with ample of space for crafting and small table for some drinks. The only downside was that many things had been used up and not refilled as the workshop opened a few weeks before Christmas. They also served milk in the workshop room, but I had concerns that the milk was there from the morning for the whole day and that it was not kept chilled, which might not be good for the kids to consume. I booked a two-bedroom apartment. The room is large and spacious. The view of the hall is mountain view, very beautiful. Once inside the hall is the bar, the lights are dim, the music is delicious, the western food is there, the hotel is very big, the bar is just a few, there is also a movie theater. The decorations are all wood strips, I can't understand them, I feel special art. Both bedrooms have no windows and are just a bathroom. There are many kitchen utensils and many tableware. Breakfast is the kind of order. Very close to the city center, a quiet hotel. More than 2,000 a night, the front desk will not be Chinese, it is a hotel for foreigners. The room was well-appointed, and the bed incredibly comfortable. The location is absolutely ideal; it's just a two-minute walk to Lake Burley Griffin, and both the Old and New Parliament Houses are within easy walking distance. As it was autumn during my stay, the seasonal scenery was truly delightful. The service was exceptional, and I had a very enjoyable night here. Disappointing, I participated in the National AGM of the largest association in the world and the hotel ran out of one of the most popular tap beer and white wine, just one hour after the guests checked-in/arrived.
The hotel advertised 1 hour happy hour every day but the Op Manager staff the bar with only one bartender. Guests lining up for half hour to get the happy hour deal, to be told, ”sorry, the 'happy hour' is finished.
The AGM room lighting set up absolutely poor, hard to see and hear anyone, the committee having to re-organise the room.
If it wasn't for the every day cleaning the room and the breakfast service, I would have ranked the hotel less than 3 stars, at @ 279/night.
I have stayed at other properties in Canberra, such as Kurajong Hotel, for less money but for exceptional experience.FromCAD 153

Hotel is in a very good city location with access to light rail, coaches, restaurants and shopping mall within walking distance. Free breakie for kids too which was good and breakfast offer itself was acceptable.
Apart from that you'd have to turn a blind eye to the state of the room itself (need to lower your expectations by a lot) , run down bathrooms ( needs major renovation), dusty bedsides and snack bar table, very crowded pool and lack of hotel car spaces.FromCAD 140

The hotel was lovely and the service great! It was very relaxed and we really felt welcome, and at home. The food was excellent and the service in the restaurant and bar was fantastic. We loved the furnishings and the whole look and feel of the foyer and restaurant was perfect. The pool was beautiful and the spa was large and very comfortable. It was just a bit dirty and soapy from all the use. It was the perfect place to stay while competing in the Canberra Marathon! We plan to stay there next year again.

You won't hear any noise from the airport which is surprisingly good 👍 The breakfast buffet is great with good quality coffee and food provided. Only downside is that the shower head was worn out, and we couldn't get it changed to overhead mode ( the nob was broken).

Older hotel that had renovated. The rooms were a good size with kitchen and facilities. The bedroom area was a generous size with a queen and single bed. Mattresses quite soft so if you’re used to a firm bed, you will notice the difference. Abundance of power outlets ( no usb charging), and a 43 inch TV. The bathroom was large, and had been renovated with new appliances but, they had left the old bathroom ceiling which was in a bad way and no ceiling fan so lots of condensation which led to mould spots on the new shower walls. No shower screen, only a curtain and it seemed that the water runoff on the floor was running away from the two drains as it was pouring into the kitchen and onto the carpet in the bedroom area. ( She does use a lot of water but it should have coped). Basically a great hotel for the money and excellent location near the cbd and plenty of good restaurants. Added bonus for us was having free Tesla destination charging which meant driving down from Sydney, we didn’t need to go searching for a charge station.
