Excellent location just a couple mins walk from Town Hall station. Also has a Woolworth conveniently nearby and QVB is just across the road. Room was clean, room service was excellent and towels were replaced daily. Mini fridge and iron too in the room if needed. Bathroom is spacious enough and concierge is very friendly.

The view from the window is great, and its downtown location makes it very convenient to walk across the bridge to see the Saturday fireworks and visit museums. It's also close to other famous city center landmarks. If you're staying with a few friends, I think the room price is quite reasonable.

I stayed at two Sofitels in Sydney during my Australia trip, and because I was so satisfied with the Sofitel Darling Harbour, I decided to book this downtown Sofitel after returning from Cairns. However, this turned out to be the biggest mistake of my two-week trip. The hotel mainly uses self-check-in, with two counters in a corner for manual service. Check-in went smoothly enough, but the moment I opened my room door, I was stunned. The room was not the standard type I booked; it was tiny. I wasn't expecting a fancy view, but at least they shouldn't have given me the worst room in the hotel – the only internal-facing room on each floor, facing a large exhaust fan, and on the lowest floor! I couldn't help but wonder if I had offended someone. I called to request a room change and was told that the room type I booked was fully occupied for the night, with only a 'special room type' left on the 11th floor (a room designed for guests with disabilities). I said, 'Alright, at least it's a standard room.' So I started waiting for someone from the hotel to show me the room, but after nearly 10 minutes, no one came. Meanwhile, I noticed that the room type I originally booked was available on various platforms. So I went directly to the front desk to change rooms, and this time it was resolved smoothly. Finally, I was assigned the room type I had reserved. Although the room wasn't large, it certainly looked like a standard 5-star room. Another thing I have to complain about is the hotel's front office service (excluding the concierge), which was practically non-existent. The so-called 'brand standard' clearly didn't apply to them. 1. There was no apology whatsoever for assigning such a bad room, and no genuine effort to resolve the issue. 2. I called for two forks, but by the time I checked out the next day, there was no sign of them. I've stayed in many 5-star hotels globally, and the housekeeping service here was arguably the most disappointing. The breakfast, however, was quite good. While it's true, as other guests have mentioned, that there's often a long queue, we were seated quickly on the day we went. The breakfast selection was rich, and although the overall service efficiency wasn't very high, I considered it quite good for this hotel.

The room was very pleasant, with new, clean furniture and high-quality plumbing. It had all the conveniences, such as a kettle, iron, and ironing board. The air conditioning and water worked perfectly, and the room was warm and comfortable. There were no issues with soundproofing; you'd only hear neighbors if they opened their door or spoke loudly in the hallway. On the ground floor, there are coffee machines where you can enjoy unlimited free coffee with milk, sugar, and cookies. The location is convenient, close to cafes and restaurants, Darling Harbour, Chinatown, and bus and metro stops. The staff was very courteous. Once, when the hotel elevator wasn't working, they compensated us with chocolates and water. You can leave your luggage at the reception, and it's possible to pay the deposit with cash, not just by card as stated on Trip.com.

Booked a twin room with breakfast (including breakfast for two children) through Trip.com. The front desk initially claimed there was no breakfast, then gave us a room on the lowest floor. When checking out, it was pouring rain, and we had a ton of luggage, plus elderly and children. The concierge not only didn't help with an umbrella, but was also hesitant about lending one for us to get to the car. I called the hotel's customer service through Trip.com, and the breakfast issue was resolved. As for the other 'software' aspects, it's really an issue of quality for an old five-star hotel. Chinese guests booking through Trip.com likely face discrimination and difficulties at this hotel. The location is on the row closest to the Opera House, facing the Harbour Bridge in the front and the Botanic Garden in the back. The surroundings are right in the heart of the tourist hustle, but I personally prefer the garden view side. Breakfast is purely Continental, a la carte.

The hotel's location is superb. The front desk staff were great; we booked for three people for three days, but since one person left early, we needed to extend for one day for two people. We asked the front desk if we could keep the triple room without changing, and they checked and confirmed it was available, readily agreeing! Plus, the room even came with cookies and candy upon check-in 😊

My stay at The Pod Sydney was generally positive, especially considering I was traveling solo and staying in a mixed dorm. The Location deserves a perfect 5/5. It is truly exceptional—right in the heart of the city and just steps away from public transport, making it incredibly easy to get to all the main attractions. Cleanliness was also very good (4/5). The common areas and bathrooms were well-maintained and tidy. However, I rated both Service and Facilities as Okay (3/5). While the staff was courteous, the check-in process felt a bit slow, and I didn't feel the communal facilities truly stood out. For instance, the common room felt small for the number of guests. Overall, if a prime location and good cleanliness are your top priorities as a solo traveler, The Pod Sydney is a solid choice. Just manage your expectations regarding the facilities and service efficiency.

The location is in the middle of the CBD and it is convenient to go to the sights. The room is a bit old and the WIFI signal is weak. The elevator has to manually open and close the door. The elevator has to open the door once and the floor of the first floor is not aligned. It is necessary to bend over and step on the way, which is terrible! Be careful of safety incidents. There is a waitress who doesn't care.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Sebel overall. The location is unbeatable (5/5)—right in Martin Place, making it perfect for getting around Sydney. The service was also great, and the room amenities were very comfortable. However, I have to give the cleanliness a 3/5. While the room was generally tidy, there were some disappointing oversights. I noticed some blood on the bedsheet and a towel that appeared to have stains, looking like it hadn't been changed. It’s a shame because everything else about the hotel is fantastic. If they paid a bit more attention to the housekeeping details, this would easily be a top-tier stay.

There are two bathrooms, living room and kitchen, hardware equipment is good, suitable for family living. But the sink in the toilet is relatively narrow, and washing your face often makes the floor full of water. The table can be checked-in at three o'clock. When the time arrived, there was still no key in the post box. Later, they called and replied that they had not cleaned it. During the process of living, some spare parts were used up, and they were made up the next day, but the more troublesome thing was that the person who came to make up did not have a key and needed to make an appointment with the tenant. In addition, pay attention to airbnb can't store luggage, you have to find a nearby store to pay for it.

Our flight was delayed and rebooked, causing us to arrive in Sydney a day late, landing in the early morning. We'd confirmed with the hotel in advance, and they assured us they'd hold our room for us. When we finally arrived at the hotel around 8 AM, the Chinese-speaking staff member at check-in proactively offered us a late check-out so we could relax a bit longer. As other reviews mentioned, the mini-bar was fully stocked and complimentary. We showered, had some drinks to refresh ourselves after the long journey, checked our luggage, and then headed off for our flight to Melbourne. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to the airport, and a taxi isn't expensive. When we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, the friendly Black gentleman who opened the door (was he a doorman or security?) even asked how much we paid and confirmed the price was correct, which was really nice. The room was spacious. We returned from Melbourne and stayed for another five days, and every day was pleasant. It's incredibly convenient to get everywhere, with supermarkets and liquor stores all around. There's a rooftop terrace, a gym, and a small splash pool for kids. Self-checkout was also very convenient.

I booked the cheapest twin room on the 26th floor, offering a direct view of the Bell Tower from above. The room was incredibly spacious, probably over 50 square meters, and even had a bathtub. While the furniture was quite basic, the front desk service was absolutely excellent. I also visited the gym. The building itself is a former Sydney Post Office, so many people come to take photos. There are even two free daily tours about the building, but I didn't have time to join. Overall, staying here was a great experience. It definitely gave off a 'old money' vibe.

Coming from the airport, you just get off at the subway station, cross the road, and you're there – so easy even with luggage. 👍 Environment: The room is spacious, and the bathroom is also quite large, plus it even has a walk-in closet. My first impression was that it felt like a renovated old building, especially with the very vintage-looking windows. We booked a twin room, and the beds were a bit small. Overall, it was very clean with great attention to detail. Basic toiletries were provided, and the shower had strong water pressure and heated up quickly – perfect for a refreshing shower after a long day out. Service: I absolutely love this Chinese-friendly hotel! On our first day, a Chinese guy helped me check in and patiently and kindly answered all my questions on the spot. It really set a great tone for our self-guided tour! 👍 PS: Bottled water was replenished daily!!!! That was a really nice touch.

[Location & First Impression] Just two blocks from George Street, the main thoroughfare, so the location is truly excellent. As it's a hotel with cooking facilities, there was no typical hotel air freshener scent in the lobby or room, which was a plus. Early check-in was available for a fee, but I decided not to proceed with it. [Room Condition & Heating] The room does have a balcony, but it faces the building opposite, so there's no privacy. It was a shame having to keep the curtains closed even during the day. The air conditioning/heater was set to a maximum of 24 degrees Celsius and couldn't be adjusted higher. While this might be fine for Westerners, Koreans might find it a bit chilly, so please keep that in mind! [Payment & Deposit Notes] I put down a deposit with my credit card at check-in, and on the day of check-out, a $4 charge appeared. I'm now waiting for the authorization to be cancelled. [Amenities & Supplies] Bathroom: The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were of excellent quality, which I was very satisfied with. A shower cap and hairdryer were also provided. No slippers, no complimentary bottled water, no bathtub.

I’ve asked baby amenities before my trip start but never got any as they promised they’ve been noted and prepared. Special note: at the checked in they gave us a small room facing loud street and construction site( we booked a higher price of room and staying 5 nights)。 They had originally agreed to change our room. However, due to a communication gap among the staff the next day, it took quite a long time to resolve the misunderstanding before the room change was finally completed. *the cafe next to Meriton has the best fresh squeeze juice ever, we bought it every morning! We were able to check in after waiting for about an hour, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The location was incredibly convenient for getting to major attractions, and there were bus, tram, and subway stations all nearby. We could even walk to the Opera House, and there were many amenities like shopping malls and restaurants in the vicinity. In particular, the meeting point for the zoo tour was right across the street from the hotel, which was perfect since we had to gather early in the morning.

This time, I booked the apartment with a meeting room for a company meeting that coincided with my birthday. The kitchen is quite spacious, large enough to accommodate 20 people for a birthday celebration, which was great. There's also a balcony with fantastic views.

Fantastic location! It's within walking distance to QVB, Hyde Park, and Sydney Tower. There's a large supermarket just around the corner, and restaurants and bars are right outside – super convenient. The apartment hotel also has a front desk, making communication easy. My 3-night stay was very comfortable, just like being at home… By the way, the Japanese restaurant next door, though small, serves really authentic food and is definitely worth trying.

I stayed here with my senior citizen mom. The room was huge, clean, and very comfortable. The facilities were also great—the breakfast had a good selection, the gym was nice, and theres a swimming pool and jacuzzi. The in-house food was delicious too. The only disappointment was the view. 😅 We were expecting something similar to the photos, but unfortunately, that wasn't what we got. I asked at reception if we could change rooms, but we were told we'd need to pay extra for a higher floor or a room upgrade, even as a Shangri-La Circle member. Overall, we still had a good stay because of the excellent facilities and service. I just hope the hotel uses actual photos for each room or floor category so guests know what view they're booking. 😅 If I were comparing this hotel with InterContinental Sydney, I'd choose InterContinental. 😉

The hotel's location is pretty good, making it convenient to get around. The lobby is exquisitely decorated and offers self-service drinking water. The front desk staff are enthusiastic and welcoming. The room space is a bit small, and there's a construction site nearby. Although the windows are soundproofed, it still affected my sleep in the mornings. For an Atour hotel in China, paying over 1000 RMB per night, I personally don't think it offers great value for money. After staying for two nights, I moved to the Four Seasons nearby on Sunday. For just over 900 RMB, it was superior in every aspect.

The room facilities were on par with a basic guesthouse in China. The hotel itself is quite large, with dozens of rooms on each floor, and the furnishings and design are similar to budget hotels in China. Before coming, I was really worried about hygiene because of many negative reviews online, but once I arrived, I found that they clean the rooms daily. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and effectively helped us solve our issues. I was also worried about noise due to poor soundproofing, but we actually stayed for 7 nights and it was very quiet the whole time. Even though the hotel is next to Thai Town and near Chinatown, it wasn't noisy at all. The internet, however, was really bad. You could only get a smooth connection in the common areas! The best spot for internet in the room was the toilet! I hope the hotel can improve this, otherwise, it's a real deterrent for guests!
