The hotel is modern and comfortable. Enjoyed the room. The location of the hotel at waterfront is very good with restaurants and attractions nearby. The pool is small but the view is nice. Front desk staff service attitude can be improved. Not welcoming, lethargic and not helpful. The worst is the carpark, for those staying in hotel with car. The hotel is sharing the carpark with a shopping mall. No dedicated carpark lots for guests. And the carpark is busy and can get jammed pretty easily. Once spent 25min to wait and look for a carpark. Big negative for those driving.

Raia Hotel & Convention Centre is big and faces the Kuching airport terminal. Pick-up is at Gate 3 of the airport arrival hall after WhatsApp the hotel. In five minutes, the hotel white van with the Raia Hotel logo came to pick me up. Upon entering the room and activating the power source, the television automatically shows Bloomberg News. I had tried to switch it off to sleep but the remote control did not function. I cannot see the airport runway from my room. It may be possible to see Air Borneo aircraft ascend to the sky at a corner in a twinkling of an eye. I slept for four hours thirty minutes and woke up after the prompt wake-up call to check-in for Air Borneo's flight to KLIA on 8 August 2026. Kindly note that the hotel is under renovation and enhancement works until 19 September 2026. It is not practical to stay in the room during and after breakfast and the room has no minibar. If one does not have a flight to catch in the morning, stay elsewhere in Kuching.

The hotel itself is very quiet at night, nice and peaceful with no noise. The beds were also fine. The shower and bathroom worked well with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My stay was disappointing. The room was very hot when I arrived and remained uncomfortable, definitely not ideal in warm weather. The surroundings and ventilation need improvement. The toilet was dirty, and the sliding door did not close properly it hung awkwardly over the rim. I have to do it myself to make it inside the rim so it can slide better. Breakfast was okay only and not attractive. They mentioned a tablet would be provided, but it wasn’t. Also, no one answered the contact number for inquiries. I expected much better for the price. Overall, this place is only for Instagrammable.

Staying in a treehouse in the forest with a sunset view – the ambiance definitely gets 5 stars. When we were leaving, we found a flat tire, but the hotel staff had all the necessary tools and helped us fix it, ensuring a smooth and safe journey home. Service also gets 5 stars. However, if you ask me if I'd come back, the answer is a definite no. Upon check-in, the front desk messed up our room – they assigned our pre-prepared room to someone else, forcing two families to switch rooms. Luggage delivery was available, but it took about half an hour for our bags to arrive. During breakfast, we had a lot of luggage and tried to use an empty chair next to us, but a server asked us to put it back. In reality, there were plenty of empty seats even when we left. The absolute worst part was the termites; the pillow area had a lot of termite droppings overnight, making for a very unsettling night's sleep.

Note: Make sure to read carefully when booking. This building houses both a hotel and apartments. I booked an apartment-style stay, similar to an Airbnb. Someone will meet you for check-in, and all communication will be via WhatsApp with the 'housekeeper,' which is convenient and easy to understand. Check-in was quite smooth and easy to find. The environment and cleanliness were both good. There were no slippers in the room, and the hot water wasn't very hot. I booked for two days, and there were only two bottles of mineral water. Perhaps you can ask the housekeeper for more mineral water, or something else, I'm not entirely sure. These are minor issues; I bought two large bottles myself. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. The housekeeper I dealt with was quite helpful, polite, and nice. Communication was smooth. However, check-in is strictly at 3:00 PM, and there's no luggage storage available. My flight arrived very early in the morning, and I had to wait until 3:00 PM to check in. I can understand this, as most hotels have similar check-in times. What I don't understand is the lack of luggage storage. I was already super tired, sleepy, and hungry. With such a long wait until check-in, trying to go eat or explore while lugging around my baggage was extremely inconvenient!

However, despite choosing a non-smoking room, we could already smell cigarette smoke as soon as we stepped out of the elevator, which was quite disappointing and a definite minus point. Why do you have to pay for this? , 200 rm deposit, 37 rm in cash, they said it was clean, the apartment wasn't the same, don't know, other floors, other owners, the same or not

We flew into Kuching in August 2026. Our flight arrived in the evening, and we were looking for a place to stay overnight that also offered easy access to tourist attractions. We were met in the lobby by a very friendly host who clearly explained where the apartment was located and how to use the keys and elevator. The apartment is on the 10th floor. Everything in the room was exactly as pictured on Trip.com. It was very clean and tidy. There's a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, washing machine with detergent, iron, ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner. Drinks, cookies, and instant coffee are also provided. On the 5th floor, there's a rooftop pool with views of the Sarawak River. The Kuching Waterfront promenade and bridge are a 25-30 minute walk from the hotel. It's beautiful there in the evening. However, we weren't able to have dinner at the restaurants near the waterfront as they close between 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM. There are, of course, some cafes that are open 24/7. We bought cheese flatbreads from one of these and brought them back to the hotel for dinner. Finding good coffee in the morning was also a challenge. I went into a cafe and bought coffee, but it was terrible – tasted like just 3-in-1 instant coffee. The apartment is wonderful; I highly recommend staying here.

Friendly front desk. Clean, room is big and washroom is big. Problem js there’s too many little lights everywhere in the room that i can’t turn off when i sleep - aircond, TV, mirrors, switches etc, plus reflections from mirrors means 2x these lights - so it was horrible for me as someone who is super sensitive to light. There’s at least 2-4 door boys at the main door each time I walk in/ out but they’re too busy chit chat and playing with each other - I don’t expect them to open doors for me but seeing a bunch of them there playing around ignoring people walking in and out is just waste of your resource.

Problem js there’s too many little lights everywhere in the room that i can’t turn off when i sleep - aircond, TV, mirrors, switches etc, plus reflections from mirrors means 2x these lights - so it was horrible for me as someone who is super sensitive to light. I booked two rooms, one mangrove view and one garden view. The front desk upgraded both to mangrove view for free, and the service was excellent with smiles all around. The breakfast food was more suited for a foreign palate! Overall, it was really great, the environment was lovely and very relaxing. 👍

The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and overall the stay was pleasant. However, there were a couple of issues that affected my experience. At night, the room was very noisy because there is a nightclub next door, and the loud music continued until around 2-3 a.m., making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. In addition, during dinner hours, the smell of food from the nearby restaurant would enter the room, which was quite unpleasant. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend requesting a room that is farther away from the nightclub. Overall, apart from the noise and occasional food smell, the hotel offers a good stay.

It was a beautiful experience. Our stay in Pullman Kuching is fun. The room is so comfortable and clean. We were surprised because my requests were granted and we were able to celebrate a late birthday celebration for my cousin. Also, the city view from our room is so beautiful and we can see the sunrise. We highly recommend this hotel.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, the room was spacious and bright, and the bed was clean and soft, so I slept very well. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and check-in and check-out were very smooth. The hotel's location is convenient, with restaurants and shops nearby, making it very easy to get around. Hotel at a great location near to the airport and also not far from semengoh reserve. There is a bus that can connect us to the reserve directly. The amenities could be improved.

Great location and views! The room was a bit dated though. The air conditioner's outdoor unit was right on the balcony, which was handy for drying clothes, but it made a bit of noise at night. There were no complimentary toothbrushes, but you could get two for free at the front desk. The phone was broken, and the towels were a brownish-red color, so it was hard to tell if they were clean or dirty.
