Firstly, my room did not have a view of the street as I had hoped, but instead faced an inner atrium, which made it feel somewhat enclosed and less appealing. Additionally, I had booked a double room but was given a twin room instead, which was disappointing. The reception staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which affected the overall first impression. On a more positive note, the food in the restaurant was of satisfactory quality, and the selection was quite diverse. Overall, this is a solid hotel in a convenient location for city exploration, but the experience was far from memorable.

We stayed in Hyatt Place Gothenburg in mid August. The hotel is very well located right at the Central Gothenburg station, walking distance from the center with several tram lines close by. I recommend to take stroll through 19th century Trädgårdsföreningen park to the center. The hotel is quiet despite being at the station. The breakfast was very good with a broad selection of food, including some local specialties like pickled herring. The breakfast gets rather crowded later after 8:30, so I recommend to go sooner. The highlight was the reception staff which was very friendly and helpful. I think her name was Johanna. She helped us book restaurant for dinner and gave us tips for sightseeing. The only shortcoming in my opinion is that rooms are pretty basic (incl. no water in the room) and they lack view, since windows are facing atrium. I would still recommend the hotel for its location and friendly staff

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, on the other side of the river, although you can get there quickly by tram or boat. The area is nice. We stayed in a superior room on a high floor which had good views and everything we needed, although I expected it to be a bit bigger. The cafe/restaurant is usually lively, but it's a bit expensive for what they offer. The gym isn't very spacious but it is very well-equipped.

The hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk from the central station, which made getting around very convenient. However, I was disappointed by a few aspects of the stay. The hotel provides grey towels, which I found unappealing; white towels generally give a better sense of cleanliness. Breakfast was adequate, though some of the fruit offered was of poor quality. I also had concerns about the room’s cleanliness. After our first night, it didn’t seem like the room had been thoroughly cleaned — the drinking glasses we had used weren’t replaced, and some visible stains we had accidentally made were not wiped down. Additionally, the iron in the room tripped the power on both occasions we tried to use it, which was quite frustrating. The refrigerator in our room wasn’t working properly, so the drinks we stored inside remained warm. I also found the 11:00 a.m. checkout time to be inconvenient, as a later checkout would have allowed for a more relaxed departure.

My stay at the Scandinavian Crown Hotel was a wonderful experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to the central station, a godsend for travelers with luggage. Whether you're taking the train to the airport or visiting the city's main attractions, everything is easily within walking distance. The lobby is designed in a minimalist Scandinavian style, spacious and bright, with a very chic social space. Our room, while not particularly large, was impeccably clean, and the bed was the perfect firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. The windows were also well-insulated, so despite being near the station, it wasn't noisy at all. If you're looking for a hotel that's conveniently located, offers great value, and is comfortable, the Scandinavian Crown Hotel is definitely a great choice!

We arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we got a room “upgrade”. The room was small so we really wondered what the “original” room looked like. The bed had stains on the cover that was laid under the mattress which didn’t look good. We went down to the lobby and found nobody present. We moved on to the restaurant, it was 8 pm. Half full and we were met with the wonderful advise that they were closed for service. This was Friday May 16th and the menu board was still at the entrance door to the restaurant. We went back to the reception and queried why the restaurant was not serving dinner at 8 pm on a Friday. The receptionist looked dumbfounded and told us it usually serves dinner at least until 9 pm but she took no action to assist us except to say we could walk fir 15 minutes to the Aveny, a street with lots of restaurants but could not suggest any close by. We ended up going to, as it happened, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner called Le Pigalle on the top floor of, we guess, a competing hotel. Fabulous meal in a restaurant that knew how to treat their guests. In short we have regretfully no positive things to say about the ProfilHotels Opera in Gothenburg. Gothenburg was fantastic but when we return we will definitely not book at the Opera which is overpriced for the standard and service they offer. Total waste of money at this venue. Regretfully we did not bother to take any pictures of the place as it is nothing we wish to remember about it.

On the day I checked out oh my god, where did this girl suddenly come from? Little wanna be Swedish police officer banging on my door trying to get in. Ok i fell asleep after breakfast? So what. Even after i checked out & and was just having a coffee in the lobby, she came again in my face demanding to know if i had checked out? She was just rude, unprofessional, behavior was unbelievable. Really ruined my experience at the nice hotel Pigalle. Actually, I don’t accept people thinking they are better than everyone else & they think that they can just talk to people like they are a piece of crap. Therefore, sadly, I don’t think I will ever stay here ever again.. Sorry but..

My stay was generally good, and the staff was friendly. However, there were several issues worth mentioning: The parking cost was higher than what was stated on the website. On the 3rd floor of the parking garage, there is no shelter, and the spaces are very tight. If another car parks slightly off‑center, it becomes difficult to park. On the first day, I had to check all floors and eventually found a spot only on the 3rd floor, though the following days were fine. The parking entrance passcode was changed without informing guests in advance. We only learned about it after facing problems at the entrance. The room looked exactly like the pictures, but there were no extra amenities beyond what was shown. One of the towels had a brown stain, which was unpleasant. The shampoo provided was good. Overall, the stay was okay, but improving communication and parking conditions would make the experience much better

Very historic hotel. The building is beautiful inside and outside, with ulterior motives. There are many retro furniture and furnishings inside, and the atmosphere is great. The interior of the room is fully equipped, and the wooden furniture used is also very antique, which matches the image of the hotel. Don't use a modern room card, but still use a copper key, which is very weighty in your hand. The breakfast in the hotel is very rich. It is recommended to watch the meal provided before starting to eat. Breakfast recommended lettuce bagel salmon meat, very delicious. In addition, there is a 24-hour hot coffee, which is quite intimate. After going out, you can have a cup of hot coffee in the beautiful lobby to warm up. The best thing is the location, just beside the central station, just across the road, the traffic is in all directions, the bus stop to the airport and the central station together, and you can reach the airport in half an hour. If you come back to Gothenburg, you will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very good hotel, we booked a deluxe double room, the room is facing the street, very big and beautiful. The room rate includes breakfast and dinner and Fika cake in the afternoon. It is very cost-effective. The breakfast is very rich. The dinner is relatively simple. There is a meat dish (change every day) and a fixed salad, but the taste is good. Don't worry about eating every day. The location of the hotel is 6～ 8 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. There are many cars at the tram station opposite the train station to go to various attractions. The bus station next to the train station can take the airport bus to the airport, which is more convenient to travel. There is a Coop next door to the hotel for easy purchasing daily necessities. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, helping us solve the shower use problem, and on the last day, we also helped pack breakfast in advance due to our early check-out. In short, it is highly recommended to live here.

Then when checking out, we had 3 interactions with the reception about checking out prior to checking out. and only the one at 12:30 (when checking out with luggage and all), we were told to pay a 200SEK late-fee, which I was then told could’ve been even higher and that I should be thankful they didn’t charge me double… Not nice - and we had 3 interactions prior to this for this exact reason. I wanted to work out first and then shower in the room before leaving. If we were told the first time about the late check out fee; we would’ve checked out then and there. I complained about this practice, to deaf ears. Not coming back despite it being very nice and perfect for a Liseberg weekend with the family

However as there are construction around the hotel vicinity, the room and common area are a bit dusty. One more important note as due to global warming, the rooms are a bit stuffy and poorly ventilated during summer. Windows cannot be opened. It would be nice that the aircon mode is in service during this period

In addition, there is a 24-hour hot coffee, which is quite intimate. After going out, you can have a cup of hot coffee in the beautiful lobby to warm up. The best thing is the location, just beside the central station, just across the road, the traffic is in all directions, the bus stop to the airport and the central station together, and you can reach the airport in half an hour. If you come back to Gothenburg, you will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The interior of the room is fully equipped, and the wooden furniture used is also very antique, which matches the image of the hotel. We stayed in Hyatt Place Gothenburg in mid August. The hotel is very well located right at the Central Gothenburg station, walking distance from the center with several tram lines close by. I recommend to take stroll through 19th century Trädgårdsföreningen park to the center. The hotel is quiet despite being at the station. The breakfast was very good with a broad selection of food, including some local specialties like pickled herring. The breakfast gets rather crowded later after 8:30, so I recommend to go sooner. The highlight was the reception staff which was very friendly and helpful. I think her name was Johanna. She helped us book restaurant for dinner and gave us tips for sightseeing. The only shortcoming in my opinion is that rooms are pretty basic (incl. no water in the room) and they lack view, since windows are facing atrium. I would still recommend the hotel for its location and friendly staff

Very comfortable, and conveniently located close to the train station and the airport shuttle. There's a supermarket right across the street, and it's next to the Lipstick Building and the pier. The room was very modern; after staying in so many hotels in Europe, this is the first time I've experienced such a modern and smart-style hotel! The front desk staff were friendly, but the self-check-in was a bit tricky to operate. It would be even better if there was free drinking water available in the lobby.

We arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we got a room “upgrade”. The room was small so we really wondered what the “original” room looked like. The bed had stains on the cover that was laid under the mattress which didn’t look good. We went down to the lobby and found nobody present. We moved on to the restaurant, it was 8 pm. Half full and we were met with the wonderful advise that they were closed for service. This was Friday May 16th and the menu board was still at the entrance door to the restaurant. We went back to the reception and queried why the restaurant was not serving dinner at 8 pm on a Friday. The receptionist looked dumbfounded and told us it usually serves dinner at least until 9 pm but she took no action to assist us except to say we could walk fir 15 minutes to the Aveny, a street with lots of restaurants but could not suggest any close by. We ended up going to, as it happened, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner called Le Pigalle on the top floor of, we guess, a competing hotel. Fabulous meal in a restaurant that knew how to treat their guests. In short we have regretfully no positive things to say about the ProfilHotels Opera in Gothenburg. Gothenburg was fantastic but when we return we will definitely not book at the Opera which is overpriced for the standard and service they offer. Total waste of money at this venue. Regretfully we did not bother to take any pictures of the place as it is nothing we wish to remember about it.

My stay was generally good, and the staff was friendly. However, there were several issues worth mentioning: The parking cost was higher than what was stated on the website. On the 3rd floor of the parking garage, there is no shelter, and the spaces are very tight. If another car parks slightly off‑center, it becomes difficult to park. On the first day, I had to check all floors and eventually found a spot only on the 3rd floor, though the following days were fine. The parking entrance passcode was changed without informing guests in advance. We only learned about it after facing problems at the entrance. The room looked exactly like the pictures, but there were no extra amenities beyond what was shown. One of the towels had a brown stain, which was unpleasant. The shampoo provided was good. Overall, the stay was okay, but improving communication and parking conditions would make the experience much better
