We had a wonderful time at Avista! The staff was super friendly and always willing to help. This is a place you could stay and never have to leave. There is an excellent restaurant on site and an inside bar as well as one out by the pool. The indoor and outdoor pools, lazy rivers, and hot tubs were well-maintained and clean. The location is also convenient to other restaurants, shops, and yummy icecream and Italian ice. We will definitely be staying again in the future. ❤️

Wish I had read my own review before booking this place. The hotel and the rooms were clean, and the staff is pleasant. King bed had some of the smallest pillows I've ever seen, that was weird. They've clearly invested a lot of money to convert something tired and run down into something nicer, but- walking through the building all we could muster was ”what have we done to ourselves”. When we pulled in the parking lot, we kind of already knew this place was going to be unique, just looking at the folks milling around the parking lot. This is not your hotel for a romantic weekend away...it's a stop, sleep, be gone hotel. Regretted booking non-refundable....I'd have never gone inside after pulling in the parking lot.

Loved the room. It was very clean, and we had fresh towels every day. I highly recommend this motel, for your next stay in North Myrtle Beach. Everyone was so friendly, too. The only problem that we had, was when a huge storm came through, and the window leaked at the top, but they took care of it, right away. Even though I was not in time, for the breakfast bar, that's in the motel, there is a wonderful pancake restaurant within walking distance, of the hotel. I think it was called Southern Sunrise. I highly recommend it. We have stayed at this hotel twice, now, and we love the pool, and the location. It's not that far from the beach, either...just a few blocks away, or you can drive to it. There's plenty of stores nearby, too. I give this motel 5 stars!
